I'm not rating this as I have no idea what I would rate it, but here are my thoughts on it in case they're helpful for anyone.

I would've liked it to have been longer and spent more time developing events both before and after the story, but at the same time it works well at the length it is.

I rarely read dystopias and haven't done any trend extrapolation for a while, so I can't really comment much on the ideas that were presented. Some things seemed a bit random - I can't see the death panel act...more

I'm so happy my publisher gave this 5 stars. I'm only giving it 4 because as the author I think I shouldn't be overly egotistical. :-) This is a free short story available through Queerteen Press.
