This book goes through everything that has ever been associated with the image of North. I loved the history of Northern cultures and especially the mythologies and viewpoints global cultures had about things in the north. It also instilled in me an extremely strong desire to go see the northern lights. I had a hard time getting through other parts of the book. To each their own I guess, but I struggled with the hundred or so pages dealing with Nortic inspired chandeliers. Just not exactly ...more
