I rated and commented on the first two installments, but here are my final thoughts on this "book".
I don't believe you can fairly rate a book by the chapter, so I have modified my ratings on each part to reflect my feelings about the book as a whole now that I have read all 8 parts.
If this book had not been the selection of my book club, I would never have purchased more than the first part.

I have forced myself to read each installment of this outrageously priced serial. My ratings went down with each successive installment. This was perhaps the most stolid installment in the series.

Weak, predictable ending. This "series" should've been a $3.99 book...
This series was the biggest waste of time and money I have ever come across. For the first few weeks I was enjoying this story and was looking forward to Tuesday's to read the latest installment. But by the time I reached the fourth of fifth week I found myself losing interesting and constantly forgetting what I had already written.

Well I must say this was a very interesting series. I was thoroughly pissed off the whole time. Around the last book, I had some inkling of like for IAN. Still an ass. But the series was good overall. Definitely recommend, if your into BDSM. This was my first bought with BDSM. I don't understand the control issue, it reminds of nonconsensual sex. But putting that aside, I enjoyed the series. I haven't read 50 Shades, I am hoping that they are nothing alike. Hopefully I will get to that one this...more

I really don't know how to explain why, but I really didn't "feel" these last two chapters. They felt rushed, and the super-uber-huge revelation didn't really hit me that much. First of all let me just say I hated the fact that I had to read and review this book 2 chapter at a time. If I was reading this when it got out, I wouldn´t do it. It would have been torture.

This series was fast paced and unbalanced from the first installment to the last. Initially I tried to shut out my knowledge of the fifty shades series to give Kery's series a fighting chance. However it was so hard not to feel like it was a complete dupe following the E.L. James blueprint.

Alright, I'm writing this as a review for all 8 of these "books". I didn't see the point of writing a review for all of them individually.
I am going to go on a rant right now and just vent a little I am sorry if you don't agree but its just my opinion. :)

I am not a fan of the serialized story. That being said, yes I did enjoy the 1st instalment of this series and I did get sucked in and felt compelled to continue the journey of Ian and Francesca’s story.
Beth Kery is an excellent storyteller and when you’re only providing 2 chapters at a time it’s easy to leave the story at a crucial point guaranteed to tease and leave the reader wanting more. I’m also extremely glad I waited to attempt this series once all the instalments were published.

"Because You Are Mine Part VIII: Because I Am Yours" by Beth Kery is the 8th and the last part of a novella that's been divided into 8 parts.
In this part, we see Francesca following Ian to London and show him that she doesn't want him to suffer alone. But Ian doesn't take it very well that she followed him, seeing his vulnerability and also his secret being revealed. This story reminded me a lot of fifty shades and Bared to you. But I still liked it. Ian has some serious demons in his past. Francesca and he are real good together. There were some parts that I loved and some that were irritating. I HATED the fact that the story was broken up into 8 parts...why??? What was the point if that?? This series frustrated me. I guess I have gotten spoiled with really good erotic contemporaries lately, but I expected well-rounded characters, a plot that makes sense, and tension that has a climatic moment. The most climactic moment in the book happens in the MANY many sex scenes. So many that I skipped they the last 3 or 4.

Well written but a very predictable plot. I found Francesca to be a totally unbelievable character, and very annoying. Besides the gorgeous 20 something virgin scenario (yeah right). I mean what woman only ever wears jeans and has only one Boho dress in her wardrobe, and when Ian a multi-millionaire wants to buy her some new clothes so that she can feel comfortable attending fancy dinners etc. she goes ballistic!!??? All 8 short stories from this series are actually one book cut in 8 pieces, so it to be released in different dates to drive fans crazy. At least that is what I think.
Hopefully authors wont do that again in the future. Cause it's frustrating, really.

I was extremely hesitant to pick up this series by Beth Kery because I wasn't a big fan at all of her previous book I read, Wicked Burn.

First I will comment on this week's part. Not my favorite part in the series. I just felt like Francesca again found herself over looking all of Ian's faults to placate herself. I don't know how these two would ever really make it as neither really face the issues at hand. I did enjoy the book(s) but I am really unhappy about the way it was sold. I bought the 1st book under the impression I was buying a novel not 2 chapters. There was no warning that you were buying chapters and I feel that was very unfair. I have read many books and haven't encountered this method of publishing before. I did go on to buy the whole series and although nobody held a gun to my head I do feel ripped off. I cannot bare starting a book and not finishing it (this was clearly the point)...more
Okay this will sum up my review on all eight parts. It was different reading two chapter’s at a time, at first very annoying and I was thankful that these popped up in recommendations after at least five of them were already out because I would have went more crazy. I really hated the ending. Each book contains 2 chapters. So by the time you buy 16 chapters you've spent $16 for really a half a book. Yep I've been punked for sure! Whoever thought up this marketing scheme needs to be seriously fired. It gets in the way of being able to appreciate the story, frankly, which overall wasn't so bad, though I thought the ending was awful. The bad outweighs the good. How to start this? I am confused, very confused, to the point that I just went through my whole iBook collection to make sure I was not missing one of the books, out of the 8 and yes, I had them all, most shocking I read them all.

Taking the whole series in consideration, I give it 3.5 stars. Overall, it is a good story and, putting aside some frustrating moments or my lukewarm appeal for the couple, I enjoyed reading it, and ended up warming up to Ian and being not so annoyed with Francesca. Gladly, of course, I had the whole series and didn't have to wait, otherwise I think I would have been put off. Only wish it didn't end up so abruptly. I've only given this whole series 4 stars each time, only due to the fact of the way it was published. To get two chapters per book is just too frustrating but what's as much frustrating is thinking you've got 100% to go through and most of the books stopping at around 70% and then excerpts from future books. Leave's you feeling a bit conned for want of a better waying of saying it.

WTW???? 8 weeks, 16 bucks lighter and that's it???? Couldn't there have been a firmer ending? Maybe throw us a bone with a one chapter epilogue. Anything to help us feel that our time and money meant something. If I find out that this series continues I can guarantee I won't be bothering with it. Others have told me what a great author Beth Kery is, and that might be true but I can't bring myself to give her another dollar.

I will give 3.5 to the entire series. It had potential regardless of the silly chapter installments. I am glad that I had all 8 books when I got to read it and aside from having to go to bed last night read them all but the last in a row. I hated the ending. I mean, for the cost of each book there just should have been more then that at the end. That was not an ending. The story of Ian an Francesca is a very good. The authors ability to weave the story flawless. I was impressed with the descriptive words an found myself (I could figure out their meaning) curiosity got me though an looked them up on my iPad. Very impressive
