Beth Kery and Penguin should be ashamed of themselves not only for this blatant 50 Shades ripoff; but for shamelessly gouging the consumer like this.

I usually enjoy Beth Kery's books. I've been looking forward to something new from her. This serialized novel is a real disappointment.
The new trend to release in small increments is annoying, frustrating and is a quick way to lose my book buying dollars.

This is my introduction into Beth Kery and may I say, "Hello. I like your writing style". ;)
I won't compare it to the popular choices, "Fifty Shades" or "Bared to You" because the serialization concept alone makes it stand apart. But there seems to apparent themes like engaging, faceted characters *cough* Ian Noble *cough*, a unworldly ingenue type heroine, a worldly yet enigmatic hero, alludes to scorching, sweat romping sex, domination and possible kinkiness. This novella was just...eh. Far too short to really get to know the characters, and the story ended just as it was beginning to heat up.
At this point, i doubt i will continue on with the series (a new novella will be released each Tuesday for 8 weeks at a $1.99 a pop).

‘Because You Tempt Me’
Because You Tempt Me is the first part in this eight part erotic serial by Beth Kery. I really have enjoyed her books in the past, and I am excited for this continuing story. I’ve never really read a serial before, where I have to wait each week for the next part to be told. I believe this first part has two or three chapters in it. It is a quick read, easily read in one sitting. Every Tuesday from today, through the next seven weeks, another part will be released.

I was extremely hesitant to pick up this series by Beth Kery because I wasn't a big fan at all of her previous book I read, Wicked Burn.
Needless-to-say I ventured into it with wary hesitation. I was at first relieved that each book was a sort of short story that continues into the next. This was good when I discovered this because I realized that if I didn't like it, I wouldn't feel like I had wasted to much of my time.

Do yourself a favor and don't lose your brain cells by reading this book.
Although, props to the author for making this book a serial, because I would have dropped it LONG ago, but for my inability to not finish a book, I kept tuning in for the ending, and that ending was shit.

Wow, such a good start! I hope I dont go crazy waiting a whole week between each part. How could you leave me hanging like that with that ending?!? So far we've met the hero & heroine and i really like the character development. Intrigueing characters. Little anticipation. And come on, a lot of sexual tension, especially with that ending....

I didnt rate this very high because it was so short and cut off the story before i would have liked. I see that there are several books in the series, and the problem i have with this is i have to pay for a lot of books that are very short. I think i could really get into the story if it wasnt so broken up. Because of this i am rethinking purchasing the other books.

I'm lucky I have all the eight parts in a folder and I'm reading them all at once, or I'd be seriously pissed off by the cliffhangers. I'd take a 500-page full novel instead of these tiny installments any day. So, the reason why I really can't give this book the rating it would deserve in other circumstances is because this first book barely gives you a taste of the actual story.

O...M...G... I do believe this is the best 2 chapters I have ever read. I took the time to go over reviews and waited a while before I bought Because you are mine. I was not sure how I was going to like reading and buying a book by a few chapters at a time. I am so happy I took the chance and bought it. This is by far the most stupid series anyone has ever come up with. I hate to say really bad things about a book, but it's like Twilight and the multitude of vampire novels that followed. This was so similar to Fifty Shades of Grey, yet didn't quite capture the reader in the same enthralling way. Because You Are Mine is a series of novellas which I read as one book from books one through to book seven, and then read book 8 separately - but all in one go. (Hope that makes sense).

Another book that looks suspiciously like Fifty Shades of Grey. The difference is that this story is serial, it is told trough 8 short parts. In fact, this part only has 30 pages, when you discard excerpts from other books.
Anyway, we have Ian Noble, a handsome playboy billionaire who is also a Dom. Hmmm, a billionaire who is heavily into BDSM, that doesn't sound familiar at all, right?

When I opened up my Kindle to read last night, I was so excited that the first installment of this sexy serialized novel was waiting for me! I'd forgotten I'd pre-ordered it.

This book is very very short so this review will somewhat reflect that;) First of all, I was aware that this was part of a series when I picked it up. I have obviously read lots of series and usually each book is a story of it's own with the whole series being a larger picture into the character's lives. Because You Are Mine is an eight-part novella series which unsurprisingly, is about a billionaire (yet again) who fell in lust (then love) to an unsuspecting normal girl (an artist, no less) who later, after several lustful scenes, finds herself to be madly in love with mister mogul as well. Of course, the man’s struggle to commit was factored in, and the self-doubt of the other – Fifty Shades of Grey all over again.

Ok...not sure how I'm going like the "serial" format that this story is published in. Part I contains Chapters 1 and 2 and I was hooked from the very beginning. Not excited about waiting a week for each successive part of the story. What I CAN say is that the story is GOOD. I will be buying the whole thing. But I wish it was a complete book that I could read all the way through. Rating is for the enjoyment of the story and the quality of the writing: both are superb.
