“What’s wrong with me?”
She laughed. “There’s nothing wrong with you sweetheart. You are one of a kind, and there is not one other like you.”

Fuck special snowflakes. Fuck insta-loves. Fuck heroines who do jack shit but to call upon their knights in shining armor to save them. Her fucking destiny? One of a kind. Bullshit.

LOVED the start to this series! Literally sat outside today for a hour and a half and managed to read the whole of this book AND the pre story, Descent!
so excited for the rest of the series!

Yes...I am also rating my second novel a 5 star. >.< Not only because I'm the author, but because I actually reeeally LOVE this story! I literally fell in love with the characters, and am excited to continue this amazing adventure with them.
This is book 1 of a series, and in the near future you will get to know more about each of the characters throughout this exciting journey. I hope you'll stick with me and enjoy this ride as much as I am! :)

I know what you're thinking. "But Mary, you said you would finish all your ARCs! Plus look, wings! You love wings!"

First, clearly you know a lot about me. It's a bit creepy but mostly I'd like to apologize for forgetting your name which I probably have. Second, you would be right! I did in fact swear that I would finish all my ARCs and I do love wings.

So how on Earth can I justify not only DNF-ing this, but also DNF-ing it only 10% in? 10%. Yeah. Do you know the last book that I put down that
OMG!!! I am still coming down from my book high with this one!! I seriously love Cameo Renae and her work. The whole flow of Hidden Wings is captivating, I loved the different emotions that were brought out of the characters, I loved the humor, the passion, and most of all I love Dom!!! I can't say any more about him you will just have to read all about how hot and hilarious of a character he is in Hidden Wings. Cameo has such a way with her writing that is completely unique and I love it.

it was one of the most stupid books i have ever read. no story, no real feeling, crappy writing and exaggeration was abundantly found in it.
half of the book was based on 2 days of her life after the accident and no depth was there. i mean come on! her parents just died, she became an orphan and all but NOOOOOO she found her self an obsession for a boy she hardly knew.
Filled to the brim with cliches and cringe-worthiness, Hidden Wings was a rollercoaster ride of face-palming.

There are no words. I mean, I've read plenty of mediocre Nephilim stories. But this was like someone had mixed Twilight with a rushed fanfiction. Needless to say, despite my very best efforts to enjoy it, I couldn't quite find it within me to rate this book anything above 2 stars.

Let's go over why this book fell short.

Once upon a time, I read this book, that’s when my nightmares start. I don't do cuss, my goodness. Fuck this book. This is fucking written by a highschooler. I wanted to dnfed this and I'm crazy because I should have.

English is not my safest prowess but I find some part of the book grammatically wrong. I don’t usually rate a book 1 star for nothing, so I am warning you ladies and gentleman that if ever this happened to be on your TBR list, please have pity on yourself. And if you are so curious

When I picked up this book, I really didn’t know what it would be about since I tend to go by referrals and I am a cover snob. I admit it. I thought the covers were beautiful, kudos to Regina Wamba from Mae I Design, and thought, Hey! (Si Robertson from Duck Dynasty Voice) this look’s good.

Low and behold I open the book to the most tragic moment. For any young woman, waking up to a strange place without a single familiar face would bring fear into anyone’s heart. But when Emma Wise learns that h

Thank you to Cameo Renae for allowing me to read this first!

When Emma Wise wakes up in the hospital and is told that she was in an car accident. When she ask about her parents she is told that they are dead. She is 17 and doesn’t know what is going to happen, until she is told that she has an aunt that want to take her in. Emma has never hurt of this aunt, and the biggest thing is she lives in Alaska. She thinks her life is going to suck until she meets her escort Kade Anders. He is very handso
Okay so as much as I really did enjoy this - and trust me i did - I have to give this a 3.5 but its closer to a four hence the four stars you see. Why you ask, well let me tell you more about everything.

So the story is over the span of two to three days, and a majority of it happens on one. And okay it works for some books it really does but because this is the first in a series, and everything is new to the main character i really felt like it needed to be slowed down and taken even a couple m

loved the characters she gives us. Her book is like a great recipe. Everything is perfectly measure out.
Finished and said "OMG NOOOOOOO!" and immediately wanted to tear into the next one. WRITE FASTER, Cameo!!!

Cameo Renae weaves and amazing tale from page ONE of Hidden Wings. The first chapter drags your heart through the mud and makes you weep for the heroine, Emma. She keeps your attention through the entire book with her amazing humor (such as monster massages and adorable banter with giant, muscly, sexy protectors!) and the crazy mystery of all that is going on. “Hidden Wings” by Cameo Renae

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I just love Ms. Cameo Renae! I really enjoy reading her Young Adult books. Even with all the drama and craziness that goes on within the story, her books just make a person feel good…well at least they make me feel good! I always love the romance in Cameo Renae’s novels. Her writing always brings me in and makes me want to have that romance. Granted, the relationship of “Hidden Wings” is just a t

WOW!! Cameo Renae has a gift of putting words to paper!! She has this way of creating a story and characters that sink into your soul!! I am a FAN for life... I don't think she could ever disappoint in her writing capabilities. Hidden Wings captures your attention from page one! You become enthralled in the relationships that Emma has been thrown into! Plus you just fall in love with Kade, Malachai and the others. It is action packed until the last word and leaves you wanting more!! I cannot wai ...more
Oh, no. I barely made it through the first chapter. There was an obvious lack of editor here. Paragraphs were poorly constructed with the unusual dichotomy of excessive commas and fragments. If you're over the age of 17 and read much, don't bother. If you don't know the difference between you're and your, it might be worth your time.

Hidden Wings follows Emma Wise, who has just found out she is the sole survivor of a car crash that killed her parents. Emma is broken, and on top of the loss of her parents she now has to move away from everything she knows to Alaska to live with an aunt she has never met. Here is where Emma is going to discover family secrets, a centuries old prophecy centering around her, and find out that she is in danger, a lot of danger.

Hidden Wings by Cameo Renae is my favorite angel paranormal romance

This book was a horrible experience for me.

Instead of listing all the things that led me to feel like the girl above...I will just list some random quotes from the book, and you can make up your own mind. Just beware the whole book is like that, it never eases up, Emma's inner-monologue is severely angsty and annoying ...Oh, and also beware of viewing the spoiler -it's not very pretty.

Fooled by another pretty cover, this paranormal YA novel was not for me. I DNFed around page fifty, my new goal, and could barely get there. However, I will say fans of A Beautiful Dark, Halo, Evermore, Fallen, and the House of Night series will eat this up. Let me share some of the lines and issues I had with it for you to decide if this one appeals to you.

I cannot put into words how amazing this book was! After reading Cameo's first book and loving it I was thoroughly looking forward to this one! I actually couldn't put Hidden Wings down until I had finished it! I loved the plot and the characters! The plot was so amazing! I really don't want to give too much away with the plot as it is amazing to experience it by yourself but all I will tell you is that you will love it! I loved the characters as well! I read this book a month ago and I am STILL thinking about it. I can't wait for the next installment.

What would you do if you woke up in a hospital bed to find you had lost everything? Wouldn't have taken it as easy as Emma did that is for certain. She has to grow up well before a 17year old should. Being moved to distant relative she doesn't know, in a state so far removed from everything she has ever known. BUT... she feels him before she sees him.. KADE The most beautiful man she has ever

This is one of those books you stumble across by accident and there is no way you can wait for the next one...!!

Awesome book. I was indepth into it I forgot I was reading a YA book...gotta love that!

Loved the banter between the boys - funny as.
Emma is a great character - strong & independant was she gets over the initial shock of whats going on - she keeps it together.

This is an incredible book. The pace is so quick and every page has a new twist and turn. 205 pages felt like 20 to me! Needless to say I am definitely going to get the second installment.

Awful, just awful.
Honestly, I consider this book to be one of the worst books I've ever read in my life.
There are just too many elements in the story that I don't like and throughout the first 40%, I keep asking the question: "Why? Just Why?".
Some things I can't even deal with:
1. Grammar wise, there are just too many inconsistency.
2. The whole "electricity" thing when you supposedly find your mate.

Hidden wings was the first story in a long time that was just YA. I have been reading a lot of adult contemporary or new adult. This book was renewing, it made me realize why I fell in love with YA in the first place. I simply adored this story, there nothing like young love. Sweet and innocent. The plot line was action packed not to mention the cliffhanger at the end that has me pulling out my hair in need of book two. Sighs, that's the life of a book junkie =]

I have to say this before I start. I was given this book by Cameo Ranae to brighten the world of mine and some other incrediable people too. I didn't promise to write a review much less a good review. If you look back at my reviews you will see I'm not scared to be honest because the last thing you want as a reader is FIVE STARS on everything. All this being said I am quite sure I've stumbled on a group of super talented writers and Cameo Ranae's books will grace my kindle forever in a place of ...more
