This was actually a really feelgood romance and I liked it. For those who like second-chance romance, you will love this. It is a little predictable, but it's also written in a very engaging way that makes you read on. It's fairly short.

This was an absolutely beautiful story of loss, love, and growing up. I read this book in a matter of four hours because I had to know ye ending. Alyssa did an incredible job showing Molly as a tragically torn young woman whose been dealt a hard hand. She comes back to her home town and reunited with her first love Ben, who still holds a candle for her. Through trials and tribulations Molly realizes, with Ben's help, that she is truly worthy of love. And who better than Ben to love her?
I could not get into this book. I had a hard time connecting with the main character, Molly. I know she had been through a lot but it didn't come across in the writing. Instead of feeling sympathy for her, I just found her annoying. One person's review of this book said it seemed amateurish, with a lot of dialogue - I agree. I think that's why I couldn't connect with Molly - there was a lot of talking without much introspection on her part.

Wow..*sniffles* just wow. This was one of the most epic love stories I have ever read. Yes it was a little predictable, but the author weaved a fair amount of mystery throughout to keep you completely engaged.
I just can't say enough how much I loved this story. Alyssa Rose Ivy has done it again. She is quickly becoming a favorite:)

Derailed tells us the story of Molly, a twenty something year old law student in Boston who's been struggling to deal with the death of her fiance. Plagued with guilt and an empty existence, she returns to the place she never imagined she'd ever go back to, Clayton Falls. Derailed is a really good second chance contemporary romance! There is a lot of depth to this story. Alyssa Rose Ivy is one of my favorite authors to read. I am a fan of her work so whenever any new book comes out from her creative mind always want to read as fast as possible to see if it is a good read or not. My expectations are actually high in wanting it to be an amazing read! My first taste of Alyssa’s writing came sometime in 2011 with Beckoning Light and later as well reading its follow-up Perilous Light. I found Derailed an emotional engrossing story that; captured my attention quickly. Molly has suffered the loss of her fiance. She quiets law school in Boston and moves home to North Carolina. Molly meets up with childhood best friend Kelly and sees her high school sweet heart Ben.

Alyssa Rose Ivy has quickly become one of my new favorite authors. Each book that she releases whether it is New Adult or Young Adult I absolutely fall in love with the story and the characters.

Huh, that was quick… I didn’t think this would be a straightforward romance but it is with a lead who’s suffered the same thing twice already. the thing is I can’t say I loved this one simply because the love interest is a pansy ass, pining boy. This despite memories of him making him out to be more (or less depending on your view of things.) Molly comes back home to Clifton Falls, North Carolina to try and figure out what she's supposed to do next. The combination of the eye-catching cover and the intriguing synopsis of Derailed pulled me in and I knew I had to read it. What I loved about Derailed is the setting; Clayton Falls sounds like a perfect little town with a beachfront. The story is written in such a way that there are little revelations along the way as to why Molly is so lost and what made her so cautious in life.

A review copy was provided for an honest review. Derailed is fast-paced, utterly captivating, and incredibly well written. I don't feel the covers old and new do the book the justice it deserves. For this reason I was determined to not like it but that became hard to do when I ended up staying up till 5 am in the morning just to finish it.
