I've finally finished this one! I know it took me months, but it was still a good read. It serves as the perfect reference regarding natural living. With the internet usually being the first device to look things up on the topic, this book's advantage lies in the compact format. If you want to quickly refresh your memory regarding a specific subject, you can quickly turn to this little guide that's full of information which is still quite accurate - even ten years after being published! Great book if you are looking to learn about what you are eating. I read this book years ago when i first started eating organic and caring about what i put in my body. The author is a vegan something i am not and never will be but this book does open your eyes on how what you are eating effects your body. Definitely changed the way I eat forever.

Fascinating, and yet frigtening book as far as exposing the realities of living in today's world - the 'SAD' diet, convenience foods, pesticides, poor water quality, etc. Enjoyed re-learning some things i already knew, and learning new angles of thought and avenues to travel.

Cook's Beginner's Guide to Natural Living seems to be a pretty good introduction to the subject. It covers a lot of basic information and points to a number of other resources available.

Another often overlooked book. Perhaps due to it being poorly marketed.
Great book to get you started on your goal of natural living.
