"Prepare to see God in new ways." SHANE HIPPS Teaching Pastor at Mars Hill Bible Church. www.shanehipps.com "Jeff Cook offers an honest voice in the midst of too many saying the same thing with subtle, monotonous, meaningless differences ... This is probably one of the best books in popular apologetics I've read. Cook is a philosopher and he definitely is philosophical in his reasoning and argumentation, but this is not a technical, academic book. And as such, it's refreshing. Written by a philosopher who came back to God because without God love is just chemicals and all is meaningless. He weaves together a worldview that includes death, pain, suffering and choosing not God. It is an easy read. His arguments are clear and easy to follow.

He has some good insights on the role of reason (or lack there of) in our approach to the God-question. It sounds like he would agree with Presuppositionalism and Reformed Epistemology to some degree. But he takes the non-rational approach too far. He also exemplifies some poor theology throughout. These two elements hold back an otherwise excellent book.
