No pressure here, just review as normal. Never mind the personal note sent along with the complimentary copy of the book, never mind the fact that the author is most likely monitoring the progress of his sent out copies, hoping for good reviews here on Goodreads. I enjoy writing reviews, but I also work under the premise that although this is public, no one except my mother will actually read these things. And she likes everything I write, as is her duty. Sadly, not everyone takes her stance on...more
Zack Keller's The Success of Suexliegh captures the reader from the very first sentence as one embarks on a mad cap whirlwind adventure through the eyes, heart, unbounded spirit and soul of Suexliegh, the "richest man in the world". However, Suexliegh's riches do not lie in money alone. He is surrounded by an hysterical group of wonderfully drawn friends from his butler Quincy, and butler in training son Quincy Jr, to his band of Scoundrels and ultimately to the love of his life, the vivacious V...more
The Success of Suexliegh is full of likable characters, witty dialogue, and plenty of exciting plot points to keep the pages moving quickly. From start to finish, I found myself constantly wanting to know what Suexliegh was going to say or do next. I'll definitely introduce this book to all my friends. Highly recommend!
Zack Keller's "The Success of Suexliegh" is constantly fresh and brilliantly laid down on the page. "Suexliegh" is an ever-flowing, perfectly-formed and concisely-phrased chain of description and of language that tickles, surprises and even challenges the intellect while satisfying that hunger for meaningful content and lovable characters. The cast of this novel unfold their whimsical lives in charming and often humorous fashion.

It was light-hearted from start to finish, with many unexpected twists and turns, and lots of laugh-out-loud moments.
I found my self willing the spoilt and frivolous billionaire to success. It was a change to my usual choice of science fiction or thrillers. A great read, I'd recommend, whatever your genre of choice!
