Liz Reinhardt (Goodreads Author)
Evan Lennox is going nowhere fast. She's living with her grandparents after her parents bailed on her, she got kicked out of her posh private school, her ex-boyfriend proved to be the biggest sleaze imaginable, her former best friend is a back-stabber, and her current best friend is stuck in backwoods NJ. To top it all off, one teeny, tiny fire she lit to burn some memorie...more

Winch's body mirrors mine, and he wraps an arm around my waist.
"It's getting cold. Come on inside, I swear to God, all we'll do is talk."
He's the path lined with wildflowers, and I'm Red Riding Hood. I've been warned but I just can't resist the blossom and perfume that calls me over.

Liz Reinhardt's writing is always evocative and steamy, but she's outdone herself with these two characters. They sizzle on every page, and I sizzled right along with them. Keep a fan handy. Or a fire extinguisher!
I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Evan (Brenna's best friend from Slow Twitch, the third installment of The Brenna Blixen trilogy), but I loved her. Evan is strong and sassy, knows what she wants and what she'll do to get it. But underneath all that sass is a sensitive heart that's been...more

I was worried FALL GUY would be a little too much for me. Too fast a connection made or even too many conflicts between the two. They both recognize those as pulling them apart but despite the same their helplessly drawn to each other. Now, them together was in turns scorching hot but also mind numbingly dramatic. Both go all in AND are terrified about perhaps having chosen the wrong thing. Too much, too fast, so the drama! It’s all there. Yet, I kept on reading (with one brow perpetually raised...more

I’ve been so busy picking up the pieces for other people, and being around Evan, I’ve started realizing for the first time in a long time how much I want something for me.
When I first saw this book, even before I noticed that it was written by Liz Reinhardt, I saw the cover. Isn’t it gorgeous? What about the guy on the cover? He’s just classically handsome, at least in my humble opinion. I was really looking forward to reading this. I’m a fan of Liz’s Brenna Blixen series, though...more

The Fall Guy by Liz Reinhardt is about young Evan, a 17 year-old who comes from an upper-class but broken home who is now living in with her grandparents in the south and Winchester Youngblood, a good guy who comes from a shady family. The two meet in court of all places and fall in love, rather quickly. Evan is trying to deal with her parent’s recent divorce and Winchester comes from a family who has him be the “fall guy” for his loser brother....more

I love Liz Reinhardt. I’ve said it before, and I’ll probably continue to say it as long as I read her books. She has a serious knack for nailing this New Adult genre, and I’ve loved everything of hers I’ve read. Fall Guy was no exception. We met Evan Lennox in the the third installment of the Brenna Blixen series, Slow Twitch. I loved her because she a perfect best friend for Brenna, and sort of a loose cannon. Okay...So I have to say I really enjoyed this book. I fell in love with Evan in Slow Twitch. She is a strong character but still has her insecurities. I also liked how she stood up to Winch and put him in his place. Winch was fabulous, but i did want to smack him around a couple of times and tell him to wake up!!!!! I thought the secret that Winch was hiding in the beginning was an interesting one...I haven't read a book with this issue...more

This book was superb! The romance between Evan and Winchester is so sweet, steamy, and at times aggravating. I love the duel POV's.. guy/girl that Liz is so great at. I love Winchester! Fall Guy is very well written and I couldn't get enough of the steamy romance scenes!! The book had several tidbits of humor too!

I've never read Liz Reinhardt before so as a first book this is a good read.
This is the story of Evan and Winchester who meet in dubious circumstances, in a court room of all places. They both feel an instant connection to each other but it takes a couple of chapters for them to come together, both intrigued by the other.
Evan got herself in a bit of a bind and needs to do community service, where she meets up with Winch again. After a little bantering they get along really well. When they start...more

Fall Guy - Liz Reinhardt
I loved this. It reminded me of Perfect Chemistry, which was just amazing. It was just an amazing story, and realistic too. As in, usually when you read these types of books, the girl accepts the boys family and way of life and he usually has to decide that he doesn't want that anymore and break it off. In this book, Evan actively hates Winch's family, and what he does, and pushes him to do what's right. To some people, it may seem as if...more

Evan has never thought that she will end up on a trial in the court room for burning the stuff of her ex..and most importantly she never
thought she will fall for a guy so soon ..but sexy, hot and confident - Winchester - is too hot to deny even though he is on a trial as her for different reason. And when both end up getting community service for same thing..sparks fly and both gets closer....and they start to fall for each other which both didn't even wanted.

I loved this.
Evan is such a no-nonsense heroine, it was refreshing. She doesn't play games, she doesn't make excuses for herself or for Winch, she doesn't play coy. She is just this strong, determined young woman. I loved her.
And Winchester is a great character too, I could completely relate to the way he had all this burden on his shoulders, despite being so young. All that responsibility makes you kind of stop living your life for yourself and live it for everyone else. His family infuriated m...more

Wow! It was indeed an amazing ride! This book made my heart skip a beat. I couldn't stay away from my laptop the moment I started reading this. I actually didn't mind staying up all night. It's now one of my all-time favorite romance novels. I loved the characters, Winch and Evan. The opposing forces trying to break them apart. The struggles they went through. The undying love they have for each other.

3.5 Stars. This book is a spinoff of the Brenna Blixon series that I absolutely loved. Evan is Brenna's best friend who is somewhat of a wild child. She meets Winchester at court where they both wait on the judge to rule on their punishment and both later find themselves doing community service together. The have an immediate attraction to each other but Winch tries to deny it due to the complications of his day to day life that is 100% created by his crazy family. Winch's family is anything but...more

Loved The Fall Guy! Liz Reinhardt never fails to pull me in and get me hooked within the first few chapters. I love her books because they have that exciting first love/heartbreak/angst feel of a YA read but they're definitely on the mature YA side so you get lots of romance/steam/mature themes as well. I was excited about this book because I am a huge fan of the Brenna Blixen series, but now I am an even bigger fan of the Youngblood series. We get a tiny bit of Brenna but honestly, I wasn't dis...more
Reading this book was like watching a horror movie. Like jumping into the frigid lake when a cute boy asks you to. Like dancing half naked doing the can-can while midgets run in circles throwing candy at you. (Don't look at me like that)
Basically, what I'm saying is that reading this story was painful, but I JUST. COULDN'T. STOP.
Can you tell me what kind of story needs to use 98 similes in it to get its point across?

This was a really enjoyable read. It was a great romance that kept me hooked so much that I've ended up with a slight sunburn as I didn't realise how much time had gone by because I was enjoying it so much. It kept me turning pages for hours with it's enthralling narrative.

It’s not a good sign when I can’t concentrate on a story because all I can think is this:

I believe that there’s a time when most writing rules can be broken, or at least bent to a certain degree, but this was not the occasion to disregard that pithy advice to “kill your darlings.” Reinhardt’s darlings are not only alive and kicking, they appear to be multiplying at an alarming rate. This book is riddled with similes. And analogies. And overworked descriptions. The writing is laboured to the poin...more

I really LOVED this book! Yes it wasn't my typical hero/heroin develop feelings for each other. It was still a great story though. I've never read a book like this one.the story line was totally different and not what I was expecting. I found myself relating to Evan I was saying what she said before I even read it. If not for her and her personality this book couldn't have worked. I'm glad I found something out of the norm. Loved how Winchester loved although heartbreaking at times. I also just...more

I'm in a bit of a book slump. I currently on my quest to find "the next most a-mazing book, that I will force everyone to read". I started several books to only ditch them before I landed with Fall Guy by Liz Reinhardt. Did I love it? No. Did I hate it? Absolutely not. It was consistent in all the right ways. The book started off with Evan {love the name for a girl!} and Winchester aka Winch meeting in court after a not so pret...more

As I started reading it, I knew I was going to love it, the characters were well describe and during the whole book I felt joy, anger, compassion and I really got caught up in the story.

I'm probably more of a 3.5 on this book.
Evan Lennox is living with her grandparents and when we first meet her, she's on her way to court. Turns out she's been wreaking a little bit of havoc and the final straw is when she sets fire to some personal items and it gets out of hand. The day of her sentencing she meets Winchester Youngblood, and it turns out that she can't seem to get him out of her mind. Lucky for her they are forced to serve their community service together.

Everyone has been buzzing about Liz Reinhardt’s latest novel Fall Guy. If you haven’t read Fall Guy yet, I would highly suggest adding this to your to-read-next list!

I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I either like it or I don't but I can't commit. I think the love story is a little rushed in the sense that we go from dating to forever in way too short a time. Of course, I'm being figurative because "dating" and "forever" are loose terms when it comes to a romance novel. It's just that they're so positive that they're in love so early on. I mean...weeks maybe? And most of the time, Winchester (great name, btw) is trying to push Evan away though she mak...more
Whew! I was thinking this was going to be one of those lollipop "we have issues and struggle but we'll be together" and I honestly thought the book would revolve around Evan's issues, but it didn't. There was just enough of the "let's just have tonight" and then break up only to fight our feelings and get back together, but the characters are SO deep and this could be an ongoing series and I would buy them all on pre-order!
After finding herself in front of a judge and being sentenced to community service on Saturdays, Evan meets hot bad boy Winchester. Right off the bat they know that being together would be a bad idea. Everything about the both of them is complicated yet they are both intrigued by that challenge. The more time they spend together the harder they fall for each other, but will it crash and burn in the end?

Liz Reinhardt was born and raised in the idyllic beauty of northwest NJ. A move to the subtropics of coastal Georgia with her daughter and husband left her with a newly realized taste for the beach and a bloated sunscreen budget. Right alongside these new loves is her old, steadfast affection and longing for bagels and the fast-talking foul mouths of her youth.
