Evan Lennox is going nowhere fast. She's living with her grandparents after her parents bailed on her, she got kicked out of her posh private school, her ex-boyfriend proved to be the biggest sleaze imaginable, her former best friend is a back-stabber, and her current best friend is stuck in backwoods NJ. To top it all off, one teeny, tiny fire she lit to burn some memorie ...more

Winch's body mirrors mine, and he wraps an arm around my waist.
"It's getting cold. Come on inside, I swear to God, all we'll do is talk."

He's the path lined with wildflowers, and I'm Red Riding Hood. I've been warned but I just can't resist the blossom and perfume that calls me over.

This book was full of push, grab and cling moments where these two knew it was best to push away. Yet they could do nothing but grab and clin
It’s not a good sign when I can’t concentrate on a story because all I can think is this:

I believe that there’s a time when most writing rules can be broken, or at least bent to a certain degree, but this was not the occasion to disregard that pithy advice to “kill your darlings.” Reinhardt’s darlings are not only alive and kicking, they appear to be multiplying at an alarming rate. This book is riddled with similes. And analogies. And overworked descriptions. The writing is laboured to the poin

*WARNING: This review might be more focused on HOT, STEAMY, DROOL-WORTHY Winch (if not the whole the review).

Evan Lennox met Winchester Youngblood just outside the courtroom on the day when they will both get sentenced for their wrong doings.
*Evan’s case was due to Unintentional Arson and Trespassing (which was really because of a very stupid reason) and Winch was because of drunk driving.*
They both get sentenced with community service.

I’ve been so busy picking up the pieces for other people, and being around Evan, I’ve started realizing for the first time in a long time how much I want something for me.

When I first saw this book, even before I noticed that it was written by Liz Reinhardt, I saw the cover. Isn’t it gorgeous? What about the guy on the cover? He’s just classically handsome, at least in my humble opinion. I was really looking forward to reading this. I’m a fan of Liz’s Brenna Blixen series, though
Liz Reinhardt's writing is always evocative and steamy, but she's outdone herself with these two characters. They sizzle on every page, and I sizzled right along with them. Keep a fan handy. Or a fire extinguisher!

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Evan (Brenna's best friend from Slow Twitch, the third installment of The Brenna Blixen trilogy), but I loved her. Evan is strong and sassy, knows what she wants and what she'll do to get it. But underneath all that sass is a sensitive heart that's been

I loved this book. Like tears in my eyes, smile on my face, lump in my throat loved it. I cannot believe I waited so long to read it! I think I’m officially addicted to dual POV books. I just love getting a look into the hero’s head.

Evan is such a great character. She is well aware of her flaws and she’s honest about the bad decisions she’s made in the past. She meets Winch, and she’s pretty sure that she’s going down the same path again. One that will lead to disaster, but she does it
I was worried FALL GUY would be a little too much for me. Too fast a connection made or even too many conflicts between the two. They both recognize those as pulling them apart but despite the same their helplessly drawn to each other. Now, them together was in turns scorching hot but also mind numbingly dramatic. Both go all in AND are terrified about perhaps having chosen the wrong thing. Too much, too fast, so the drama! It’s all there. Yet, I kept on reading (with one brow perpetually raised ...more

Liz Reinhardt,

You rock my socks! I absolutely LOVED Fall Guy!

Thank you so much for writing such a breathtaking story.

Fall Guy, the first novel in a brand new companion series by Liz Reinhardt, is the perfect book for "mature" young adults. It's a fun and sexy emotional roller coaster filled with entertaining, comical characters that demand your attention. Told from Winch and Evan's perspectives, Fa
Reading this book was like watching a horror movie. Like jumping into the frigid lake when a cute boy asks you to. Like dancing half naked doing the can-can while midgets run in circles throwing candy at you. (Don't look at me like that)

Basically, what I'm saying is that reading this story was painful, but I JUST. COULDN'T. STOP.

Can you tell me what kind of story needs to use 98 similes in it to get its point across?

This one, apparently.

Ninety-eight. Yes, I counted. Because that's what I do. Als

After i started reading the book, i realized that it was a spin-off of sorts of a previous series of the author. So i'm writing this review on a stand alone POV.

The story begins with Evan going to court, where she is sentenced to community service, for arson (an accident, really). And in court she meets Winchester, that gives the bad boy aura and in the other hand a totally cooled aura. He is confusing, more to him that meets the eye, and the attraction between the 2 of them is undeniable.

I love Liz Reinhardt. I’ve said it before, and I’ll probably continue to say it as long as I read her books. She has a serious knack for nailing this New Adult genre, and I’ve loved everything of hers I’ve read. Fall Guy was no exception. We met Evan Lennox in the the third installment of the Brenna Blixen series, Slow Twitch. I loved her because she a perfect best friend for Brenna, and sort of a loose cannon. But she was a strong girl, and she meant

Just finished will write review soon:)

Okay...So I have to say I really enjoyed this book. I fell in love with Evan in Slow Twitch. She is a strong character but still has her insecurities. I also liked how she stood up to Winch and put him in his place. Winch was fabulous, but i did want to smack him around a couple of times and tell him to wake up!!!!! I thought the secret that Winch was hiding in the beginning was an interesting one...I haven't read a book with this issue

You did it!
You finally did it!
You made me fall in love with one of your books!
Woot Woot! And I actually loved the characters!

Fall Guy. Fall Guy. Fall Guy.

Damn. I was not expecting the ride this book took me for.
I was damn well shocked at the end because I was pretty distracted going into it. I wasn't really focused and then BAM! I was zapped into the story. I was battling my instant like of Winchester just like Evan was. I didn't know if he was that bad boy with a sof

WOW Liz Reinhardt just rocked my world. I loved Evan and Winch there are the perfect couple. I even love Winch more than Saxon which is saying a lot. Fall Guy is my favourite new adult contemp romance this year. When is book 2 releasing???????
I love anything Liz Reinhardt writes. Seriously. She could come out with a book that's called Riding the Waves of Post-Menopause Depression and I'd think it's the most brilliant book out there.
What?! How's that possible?
It's simple. Her writing is addictive.
You start on page one and there's no way you'll be able to put the book down. She's able to intertwine an amazing plot, seriously addictive characters, with a romance so edgy, steamy, and real that it equals the perfect combination for a T

Fall Guy is a fun read. Evan and Winch's story is crazy and complicated. Although it's engaging, it's also aggravating, but you can't help but hope these two will get it together.

Evan Lennox loves bad boys. She attracts them like moths to a flame, but she always gets burned and the last boy to break her heart was the reason for her recent legal problems and accidental arson which landed her in Court. Here she meets Winchester for the first time. They are assigned Community Service together and s

<"This family is so seriously fucked up">

I couldn't agree more. I really liked Evan's character, she seemed like a strong girl who'd made a mistake and realized the error of her ways. Enter Winchester Youngblood, I wanted to like this guy but I couldn't seriously I tried but he let me down over and over again.

He had this unwavering loyalty to to his family and felt as if he owed them something. Seriously they said jump and he was like "how high?". And whenever he's brother was in trouble
I give this book an average of 3.5 stars.

There were aspects that I rate 4 stars - the overall message of the book, I found to be positive in many ways. To stand up for what you believe in, to not enable bad habits, to seek help for addicts, all are great messages. The steamy sex scenes were delicious. I also thought both Evan and Winch's personalities fit well and weren't the typical annoying teenager stereotype.

But there were also aspects that I would rate 3 stars. While I did appreciate their

between 3.5 and 4 stars

Overall I liked this book. Why 3.5?

It started well, girl meets boy, instant attraction and the story was going somewhere.
But the author' s penchant for use of similes and metaphors was at some places distracting and I found myself zoning off and having to go back and re-read the page, therefore the story wasn't flowing as easy as I would have liked.
The dialogue between Evan and Winchester was a bit hard to believe, they came across very mature and older than their age.

I really love Liz's work. All of her characters are just fantastic. They all feel like real people to me and someone that I would know and care about and just want to simply hang out with and be friends.

This latest book is no exception. I just fell in love with Evan and Winch. They were both so flawed and real and I just loved that about them. I loved that they truly needed each other. They needed to save each other, but they also needed to save themselves, for themselves in order to be all the

I was super excited about getting this book. I'm a huge fan of the Brenna Blixen Series, where we met Evan. I adored her immediately and wished on a star for a book of her own. Wish granted! WOOHOO!

Evan is smart, sassy, and resilient. This girl has come through some pretty bad family drama. Her parents have never given her much attention and she's been betrayed by her old best friend. When her ex-BFF sleeps with Evan's boyfriend, naturally Evan reacts badly. As a result, she has to go to court.
Loved The Fall Guy! Liz Reinhardt never fails to pull me in and get me hooked within the first few chapters. I love her books because they have that exciting first love/heartbreak/angst feel of a YA read but they're definitely on the mature YA side so you get lots of romance/steam/mature themes as well. I was excited about this book because I am a huge fan of the Brenna Blixen series, but now I am an even bigger fan of the Youngblood series. We get a tiny bit of Brenna but honestly, I wasn't dis ...more

I've never read Liz Reinhardt before so as a first book this is a good read.

This is the story of Evan and Winchester who meet in dubious circumstances, in a court room of all places. They both feel an instant connection to each other but it takes a couple of chapters for them to come together, both intrigued by the other.

Evan got herself in a bit of a bind and needs to do community service, where she meets up with Winch again. After a little bantering they get along really well. When they start

I found this author recently, when I bought Lengths (which she co-wrote) and really enjoyed it. I decided to pick this book up and I wasn't disappointed. Fall Guy is a quick read that introduces you to some really interesting and flawed characters. When I finished it, I went looking to see when the sequel would come out.

Evan Lennox is the female lead and she was different from most we read about in YA/New Adult lately. She's not a shy, bo

thought she will fall for a guy so soon ..but sexy, hot and confident - Winchester - is too hot to deny even though he is on a trial as her for different reason. And when both end up getting community service for same thing..sparks fly and both gets closer....and they start to fall for each other which both didn't even wanted.

Wow! It was indeed an amazing ride! This book made my heart skip a beat. I couldn't stay away from my laptop the moment I started reading this. I actually didn't mind staying up all night. It's now one of my all-time favorite romance novels. I loved the characters, Winch and Evan. The opposing forces trying to break them apart. The struggles they went through. The undying love they have for each other.

Along the windy road, they were able to overcome all those reasons that made them think unwort
3.5 Stars. This book is a spinoff of the Brenna Blixon series that I absolutely loved. Evan is Brenna's best friend who is somewhat of a wild child. She meets Winchester at court where they both wait on the judge to rule on their punishment and both later find themselves doing community service together. The have an immediate attraction to each other but Winch tries to deny it due to the complications of his day to day life that is 100% created by his crazy family. Liz Reinhardt was born and raised in the idyllic beauty of northwest NJ. A move to the subtropics of coastal Georgia with her daughter and husband left her with a newly realized taste for the beach and a bloated sunscreen budget. Right alongside these new loves is her old, steadfast affection and longing for bagels and the fast-talking foul mouths of her youth.
