The first third of the book grabbed me and infused me with the same breathless anticipation as Ella and Rob. A buildup of heat, sexual attraction and edginess that was fulfilled with hot up-against-the-wall sex for sex's sake.
There was so much that I wanted to explore more deeply, and it reminded me why overall I don't care much for the super short format. But Dimon does a good job of breathing life into all 3 characters, even in the short format. I'm just greedy and wanted more. More...more

This little quickie has a lot going for it: it's pretty hot right from the start, there are 2 interesting characters, and did I mention it's pretty hot? But I'm fairly unsatisfied with it for those reasons, too.
It's because those two characters are interesting that I'm unsatisfied. There's quite a bit of plot-level character development that is kind of rushed in this 11,000 word or so format. As a reader, I've been conditioned to want to know more

I haven't read the first book in this series yet. I don't feel like I missed anything, so I'd say this is a standalone.
The first chunk of this story was great. I was drawn into the story and anxious to find out more. The last quarter or so left me wanting, however. I'm not sure why Rob wasn't honest in the beginning. I also would have liked to see more time given to exploring both backstories.

Again with an abrupt ending! Maybe it's a "Walk on the Wild Side" author thing!
:P
Really liked it - have been waiting for Rob's story since Risque Business.
A little creeped out by how young Ella is, but I guess it makes sense.
Although - not sure I'm sold on her being an assistant and having a studio in Manhattan.
But that might be too much realism creeping into the reading. :P
Well written - a nice sexy short.

Enjoyed this short story and could feel the chemistry and attraction between the two characters as I was reading it. I liked how the story unfolded from the first time the finally spoke to one another until the end. Smooth writing from the author made me read this from start to finish and the scenes between the characters were pretty hot. I have to go back and read the 1st story now!
And this time I am cursing Mad4rombks or Fatin because she gifted me this and now I am going to have to read all the rest! It was short and hawt and emotional at the same time. Amazing what a punch Ms Dimon was able to pack in this. Now I am ashamed that I haven't read her before now so I am going to fix that.
A good fast read.
