The sequel to The Moon Dwellers is finally out! I just wanted to make sure you are all aware :)
What I promise from this book:
-more action
-more ass kicking by Adele
-more drama
-more secrets revealed!
So sit back and enjoy the ride! I finished this book with an 8-hour, 9,000 word session where I was left shaking and tearful with emotion, so yeah, I poured everything I had into the climax. I hope when you read it you can feel what I felt when I wrote it. Happy Reading!

UPDATE!!! REVIEW!!
I didn't realize I haven't written a review for The Star Dwellers when in fact it is the best book and by far, my favorite among the three Dweller books!!!
Just two months ago, I remember putting my review on hold because I honestly think that my words wouldn't do justice to the action, suspense, and sweet moments this book has to offer! Two months later, I decided to give the review a try. :) So here it goes.
Just like any other series, The Star Dwellers picks right where The...more

This book was fantastic. I really enjoyed book 1 and was really glad when I was asked to beta read book 2. And book 2 is so much better than book 1. This is easily becoming one of the best dystopia series I’ve read.
The story is fast paced and action packed. I just wanted to keep reading. The story is still told from both Adele’s and Tristan point of view. Sometimes the pov changes still annoyed me and I was sometimes a bit confused because I didn’t remember how the last chapter of this pov had e...more

You know how I know a good adventure book? When I think back if I'll ever re-read it the answer's always "No". Weird enough right? Well the thing is with good adventure-filled plot-twist-packed novels like The Star Dwellers is it is such a rollercoaster ride. A good one at that.
The second book of The Dwellers saga was perhaps better than the first one. The characters continue to develop and you get a better idea about the background of each and everyone of them.

Wow! What a fantastic sequel. I fell head-over-heels in love with David's unique dystopian world when I read the first installment of the Dwellers Series, The Moon Dwellers. I was sucked into this underground world and loved every moment of it. In no way did I ever think the sequel could quite live up to the first book. I was definitely wrong. The Star Dwellers surpassed all of my expectations and more. I was just completely a...more

AMAZING! I could not put The Star Dwellers down. In this extension in the Dwellers series, Estes has created a masterpiece! I thought The Moon Dwellers was good, but this is better. Now I can't wait for The Sun Dwellers to come out!
Three words for you, Adele is tough. And what makes it even better, is that she has tons of resolve to do what she needs to do for her family, her people, her Tristan.

The second book in the series did not disappoint! The only unfortunate thing was that Adele and Tristan had to spend most of it apart, but as they say "distance makes the heart grow fonder". I think that applies here.
After only meeting Adele's father and sister briefly it was nice to have them back in the story and going with Tristan to convince the moon dwellers to revolt against the sun dwellers. In particular her sister Esley and Roc's relationship seemed to be gaining momentum and I thought...more

Oh wow, I actually haven't made a review for this book.
I really enjoyed this second installment of Estes Dwellers Series. The first book was good and got a 3.5 rating for me, but I feel that Estes' writing gets even better here. His characters has developed and improved in ways that I really can't describe. Although, Adele and Tristan's relationship still bothers me a bit, it didn't affect me as much as the first book.

I'm a huge David Estes fan, so this may be biased...but I LOVED this book! This is the second book in the Dwellers series, a dystopian series where humanity has retreated underground for survival. We left off in Moon Dwellers with the Star Dwellers invading and bombing the Moon Dwellers, Adele heading off to try and rescue her mom, and Tristan teaming up with Adele's dad, Ben, to try and unite the Moon and Star Dwellers against their common enemy, Tristan's dad.

This was an awesome sequel! The Star Dwellers picked up right where The Moon Dwellers left off. Tristan and Adele have split up, each with their own important mission to tackle for the rebellion against the Sun Dwellers. They had to face a slew of challenges, and there were some unexpected twists and turns that literally had me on the edge of my seat.

Second installment of the series.... SO STINKING GOOD!!!! Really!
Picked up right where the first left off. It had the same intensity as the previous book. I can't wait to see how it all pans out for our star crossed couple. If you like the Hunger Games, David Estes' Dweller series is right up there. Totally different idea, but the story of two people who make a difference with their actions not just talking the talk.

Another great book in The Dwellers series! The Star Dwellers left me wanting more of this world and the characters I've come to know and love! From the beginning I was gripped by scene after scene of drama and uncertainty of whether the heroes would make it. And the twists and turns blew my mind as they unraveled bit by bit! I love the relationships between Tristan and Roc, Adele and Tawni, Tristan and Adele, Roc and Esley, and on and on... Thank you, David, for giving me a glimpse of the next b...more
I thought the first book was fast paced and exciting but this one blew me away!!! Every time I turned the page, I was hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I didn't know who to trust and I was constantly surprised by the plot twists!

THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME! It was better than the first book, and it has completely blown me away! The situation is getting more intense as people around Tristan and Adele die. I love how everything is described thoroughly because it just makes things much easier to remember.

Estes’ work The Star Dwellers is no less captivating that the first book in the series. The pages are so full of flowing descriptions that they cannot help to bring the pages to life. As a reader I spent page after page with my fingers crossed, hoping for the best while expecting the worst. With the numerous twists and turns found at every corner I found myself gasping out loud at the unexpected turns of events. There are moments of utter sorrow that you don’t know how to rise above, through whi...more
This is the second book of the Tri-Realm trilogy.
Unlike the first book where I was confused and slightly bored at the beginning, this book is fast-paced and a page-turner. The kind of book where you would always wonder what happens next and that one would reluctantly put down.
Well, I think nobody should blame Tristan just for the fact that he's a sun dweller and the president's son, a choice he didn't make. But I guess he has to work harder for everyone to trust him. On a side note, Roc's wit a...more

I really enjoyed the Moon Dwellers, the first in the Dwellers Series by David Estes, yet this time around I was sucked in completely.
I'm going to be honest here, I didn't relate well with Adele in the first book. Her reactions seemed off to me for some reason, but this time around, I loved her. I loved every minute of this book. Estes creative genius continues to shine in this installment. We get quite a few questions answered and more are raised.

Once again, I couldn't put this book down. The pace has definitely picked up from the first book, a worthy sequel indeed! I liked how the relationships between the characters clearly deepened. Adele and Tawni's friendship, the way they supported each other, was a joy to watch; and even though Tristan and Roc were clearly close in the first book, I feel like that's even more apparent in this story. Their trials together are bringing them all together.

This book was awesome, a big improvement, considering my last review on The Moon dwellers, the first book in the series. I want to thank the author for giving me a copy of this book so I could give this series a chance in book two and I am glad that I did.
There was more action, more mystery, some twists and turns and believable romance. I was also engrossed throughout, meaning there were no slow parts that I was just trudging through to get to the better parts.

Book series often start out with that first book that gets you hooked and ends with something that either wows you, leaves you sad, satisfied or confused. Right after that first book and all the way up to the last book there are those middle books. You know what I mean? There might be one, or several, but one thing about them is almost always the same - they are just part of a story. I find it so difficult to review middle books. Spin it any way you like - they could be full of action and excite...more
This is the sequel to The Moon Dwellers - I loved it! After finding her sister and dad, Adele along with her best friend Tawni, are off to find Adele's mom in the underworld of the Star Dwellers. After a narrow escape from death, they find Adele's mom but not where they were expecting to find her. Adele sees first hand how the Star Dwellers live, and it was not how she thought. She does some training for the oncoming war, and is wary of some of the soliders she encounters. Adele, Tawni, and her...more

This book is an awesome sequel to the moon dwellers. It picks up right where we left off. Tristan and Adele have parted ways, each with an important task to complete if the rebellion is going to have any chance of standing up to the Sun Realm. The characters face many challenges along the way and many things were not as they seemed.

It's not often that a sequel is better than the first, but The Star Dwellers is an exception. I had a feeling this would happen.
The first thing I want to talk about it how well Estes paced the book. He plays with style throughout but his pattern is the same; right in the climax he quickly switches between Adele and Tristan's monologue, which is great because he kept tearing me left and right waiting for things to happen.

Darker than Moon Dwellers, perhaps appropriately since the Star Realm receives less electricity and has worse living conditions than the Moon Realm. The book is a very good middle book to the Dwellers Trilogy. Picking up immediately where Moon Dwellers leaves off, Adele and Tawni are headed to the Star Realm to look for Adele's mother Anna, while the rest of the party heads to speak to the Resistance about combining Moon and Star forces against the Sun Dwellers.

I loved this book just as much as the first one if not more. I loved that it picked up right where it left off. And the emotions!!! It’s just so full of them...I felt everything they felt. The happiness, the sorrow, hate and rage everything just jumped off the pages.
Adele the female heroin of the story once again is portrayed as a strong willed individual. For someone so young she is quite mature. Doing whatever is necessary for those she cares about.
