The review was posted originally on my blog {Dive} Under the Cover.

Ok, I'll be honest here, since that's what this blog is all about. This wasn't my type of book. I wasn't sure when I started reading it, but I plowed through it regardless. While I didn't care for the story, I still wanted to know "who done it", if you will.

I will start with this, I am a total "judge the book by it's cover" kind of girl. I always have been, and this, to me, just isn't a great cover. Sure, the bright green is ey

Toe the Line is the living proof that you don’t have to judge a book by its cover. The cover is not one of my favorites even though I love the green color. However I discovered a great story with a lot of things on its favor.

This one is probably the greatest thriller-mystery book I’ve read this year. From the first page I was drawn into the action. From page to page the story became more and more interesting. An excellent written plot with turns and surprises in every page, Toe the Line has all

This book did not blow my mind nor did it leave a big impression, but it was entertaining enough. Although there was enough suspense and, er, mystery, in the story, the book lacked something. For some reason I did not love any of the characters (except for the two golden retrievers squee!). Wynn was frustrating, Madison the ex-fiancee was a tad bit pushy and annoying, the two detectives were weak and rude. I don't know, maybe I just wasn't in the right mood when I read this book. However, I did ...more

This pacy novel is a modern day whodunnit starring Wynn Johnston and his ex-fiancée, Madison, who are trying to find out who killed Wynn's friend and business partner, Wheeler. Along with trying to track down Wheeler's killer, there are business complications due to having to stay in Seattle (when his business is in Austin) and added to that are the feelings Wynn has for Madison.
