This book had sucked me in from the first paragraph on. Although I was a little jarred by the change of POV in the second chapter, I expected it and quickly recovered. It was also a necessary change as it sets up the rest of the story.
I know this is a novella that comes in the middle of the series but it really works well as a stand alone which I think is excellent because it makes me want to buy the rest of the books in the series. The story is rich with culture and a complex system of werewolf...more

Elizabeth Kolodziej’s novella “Salvaged Pieces of a Werewolf Lost” is an amazing journey through the life of Prince Zou Tai, one of the Thirteen Japanese Werewolf Warriors. He had traveled to the United States to escape his bloody past while setting up a werewolf base there. While he was gone, his best friend Tadashi had fallen in love with a human named Mandy who was hiking in Japan. Their deep and forbidden love put her life in danger. While protecting Mandy, Tadahsi was murdered by one of his...more

Salvaged pieces of a Werewolf Lost is a fantastically written paranormal romance by Elizabeth J. Kolodziej. This short novel is set in Japan where one of the thirteen werewolf warriors, Tadashi, has just been murdered for having a relationship with Mandy; a human. Zou Tai, the prince of the werewolves flies back from America to discover the murder of his lifelong friend who was like a brother to him. He is distraught and vows to find the killer, though when he makes the shocking discovery of who...more

This was a side story to The Last Witch series about what happened to Zou Tai when he returned to Japan. It takes place in between the 2nd and 3rd books. It was very short only about 53 pages on my ereader but it did give me a lot more insight into what happened to Zou Tai. I give this 4 stars.

We get to hear a little more about the Thirteen Warriors and the Magistrate that Malena works for as the Inquisitor. In the third book we find out that Zou Tai has made a decision to get married and who he...more

I loved this book!!!!!!!! Loved it. It fit in just perfectly in the series. It was so awesome to get a glimpse into Zou Tai's life and the life of the werewolves. I enjoyed the new characters in the book and all of the 13 Warriors! My only wish was that is was longer!!!
