I totally fell in love with both Tam and Aeron in The Dangers of Fairy Compacts, and it was delightful to get to spend some more time with them. I loved so many things about this story!

I enjoyed that much of it was spent in Faerie. Ms. Hawthorne's descriptions of that world were beautiful and spectacularly vivid, and I felt the oddest sense of being homesick for a place I'd never been. I especially loved that we got to see that world through Tam's eyes. Even though he's been there a few times,...more

This is the second book in the Fairy Compacts series. I'd read the first, and really loved both Tammas and Aeron from the start. This new story starts where the last one left off, and the two lovers lose their psychic connection after their pact is finally broken. Which creates a lot of doubt in Tam about whether Aeron will still want him.

Before they can worry on it too much, wise woman Kamala shows up with an old friend of Tam's who needs help from Aeron because his sister has been stolen by so...more

Having enjoyed the previous book, I liked this book even more so since it further the relationship between Tam and Aeron. The reader gets to visit the Faerie realm and see it through human eyes. I liked the strong female character of Aeron's sister, Awela, too.

The book has two lovely drawings which was a treat to me. As mentioned by another reviewer, there is a cliffhanger at the end. On the author's website, the third book should be coming out in November.

"Kamala" always makes me think of Siddhartha...

It was nice to see Tam and Aeron again and they are settling into their life together. Their relationship changes, though, and neither is sure they like it that way. I don't want to give anything away so I won't say anything else except the cliffhanger at the end - that's just mean!
