This rulebook was an amazing read. This hobby has come so far since I started playing originally in the mid-90s. A full colour book, filled with the amazing stylings of John Blanche, it is a joy to hold, read and just simply flip through. The rules are laid out very well and the book is filled with amazing background material and stories throughout. The photos of miniatures, terrain and dioramas are on the same level. I have played 40k in the 2nd, 4th, and 5th edition rules sets and I have to say that 6th Ed looks like it's going to be the overall best so far. There's lots of nice little rules that are going to make your games more cinematic and immersive. Also, they seem to be taking a detour from the simplified rules that were geared towards competitive play and limiting the effect of chance. That's what took me away from the game during 5th, and so I'm really looking forward to getting back into the game ...more
got dark vengance for christmas and found this very useful as i have only just started playing (dark angels with ravenwing and deathwing combo and support units) and it explained everything really well. loved the artwork as well. death to the enemies of the god-emperor!!!!
