This was a quick light read.
JB goes to an audition and it isn't really an audition it was a kidnapping into the Fae realm, because they needed a new musician, since the other one was in the dungeon.
Well, as it so happens JB's lover is also a Prince of the Fae, although this came out of the blue for JB.
Now a lot of this was about the needing of each other- the love -the I can't live with out you!
It would have been much better if it had been a bit longer, if we learned more about JB and his histo

A Guitarist for the Fae Queen’s Court is the first book in Kell’s new series, Fae Intervention. This is a fairly typical Kell book, in that it is a relatively quick and easy read. Rain is somewhat hard to completely like, as he inadvertently set JB up for abduction to the Fae Court. Meanwhile, JB has no clue his lover is a Fae Prince, or that the Fae even exist. I think I would be a little more than mildly annoyed, but JB seems to brush this huge omission

Amber Kell is an author who consistently delivers interesting and likeable characters who capture the heart and imagination. Her story lines, while fairly straightforward and arguably simple are still sweet and funny. All in all this is an amusing author who pumps out pleasurable stories. The Guitarist in the Fae Queen’s Court is no exception to the ideas above but unfortunately also has a few flaws that prevent it from being an outstanding read.

This story was meant to be a fantasy, a normal hum

Nothing really stood out about the characters or the story and there wasn't any humor or flirty banter between the two MC's. To add to that the story seemed pretty rushed making it hard to connect with the characters.

I was expecting this to be a great read because of the 3 teaser excerpts posted on her blog several months ago but upon reading it I immediately saw some of the changes she made. The story had potential and could have been great but just fell flat.

Not horrible, just no real substance to the characters. Very rushed with some important points glossed over. Mildly entertaining but a disappointment overall.

For me it left a little to be desired, maybe if it was longer and/or more in depth. Seemed quick and shallow.

Amber Kell is one of those quiet people they always tell you to watch out for. She lives in Dallas with her husband, two sons, and one extremely stupid dog.

She also writes under the name Mikela Q. Chase
