This is the most beautiful story of Alex Turner tavern owner. The story of a French diplomat that had come to America to see if the kind should intervene in the revolutionary war. They meet under the most unexpected circumstances and the French check i.e. is interested in this unassuming woman.
The story is full of emotion as they both are hiding secrets that Have to do with the war. I loved Honre. He was such a wonderful man. He was caring and a gentleman. His actions were so honorable and love

Le Chevalier by Mary Jean Adams is really, really funny! Tavern owner, Alexandra Turner, is spotted by a French spy at a party in Philadelphia where she was dressed in a gown which matched the house's wallpaper. Intrigued by her beauty, the French spy, who is dressed as a woman, comes to her aid after a man steps on her feet and tears Alex's dress and then spills wine on her. Things go from very funny to tender quite quickly as the two get to know each other.

Mary Jean Adams pens "Le Chevalier" in a well written and clever plot that is centered during the American Revolution. With strong, believable characters and vivid descriptions, the author had me from the beginning. A nice historical romance that should be on everyone's TBR list.

This book sounds like a breath of fresh air...It seems like every new book is a paranormal novel these days. Which I do love, but It's nice to read something different every once in awhile, also. I can't wait to read this one!!
