I won this book through the first reads program.

Cover Story is a collection of short stories by Liz Colville primarily on the topics of relationships and how they falter and change. Her characters are each carefully rendered, and over the course of the book many a stereotype is carefully subverted, and by no means overtly still.

This was a delightful collection of short stories about love and loss. I enjoyed the variety in length, as the stories generally got longer as the book went on. Colville has a very readable writing style, making this a quick read. For the time it takes to read (and the cheap price), I think everyone should read this collection, from this promising young author.

This book was quite good. I always enjoy a collection of short stories. They are some of the hardest books to put down. This one was no exception. I just wish there were more stories in it to enjoy.
