I received this as an ARC and found myself charmed by Mary Gorman's story. Dave, a non-traditional hero for a romance, meets his dream woman at work. Denise is a beautiful on air personality at a radio station (love the job setting) who recently divorced the kind of man most romances are built around. Because Denise's mother is a romance novelest, Dave concocts a plan for winning Denise's heart by using romance novels as his guide.

Gorman has a lot of fun playing with the tropes (or some non-rea...more

When the hero gets together with his buddies to read romance novels to figure out women, you know you're in for a fun read. Mary Gorman's LOVE'S LITTLE INSTRUCTION BOOK is such a wonderful charming story that had me rooting for the hero and heroine from page 1.

Fresh off a divorce courtesey of her cheating husband, Denise moves to Boston and starts a new life, working as radio personality. Love is the furthest thing from her mind, yet she finds enjoyment in spending time with her sweet colleague,...more

Denise Johnson just got out of a bad marriage, and when she returns to Boston where she grew up to begin working at a local radio station. Dave DiSciullo wants to start a family, but isn't willing to settle until he meets Denise. When he meets Denise he will stop at nothing to just get one date with her.
I loved this romance novel, it was a more modern take on a romance of a woman who went through a horrible divorce, and was only looking to be an individual. It wasn't in the cards for her to mee...more

Really cute. Loved that Dave is just an average guy. But that a woman with no previous experience is hired as an on air DJ straight after her divorce? I'd like to live in that reality. A few too many nitpicky things to keep me from feeling able to rate it higher.

I was given Mary Gorman's book for a review.

This is a fun tale of a man in love for someone who he thinks is out of his league and the lengths he goes to in order to win her heart. Some of the scenes are genuinely laugh out loud funny and the concept of his friends suggesting they study romance novels in order to work out what women want is wonderful. The romance between Dave and Denise is delightful and gentle. If you want a warm fuzzy gentle romance then this book is for you.
