It started with one lost, shivering pup; it may end in a war...

Panthers don’t do responsibility. They don’t do long-term relationships. They definitely don’t raise kids. But when Z discovers a young wolf in the forest, he takes him in, unaware of the powerful beings hunting the pup.

Fiona is a witch who can’t leave her house; the birds have told her something bad will happ...more

First, before I start with the character analysis, this was an incredibly creative story. I was really impressed with the creation myths centered around each species. They were very unique and I LOVE unique. This book had a little bit of everything, including a very entertaining and funny witch!

Fiona has a fear of the outside and it goes deeper than the birds telling her something bad is going to happen if she goes outside. On her routinely stressful everyday trip to the mailbox, Fiona hears a c...more

I would definitely recommend that new readers go back and pick up the earlier stories in the series before reading this one. As someone who has read the entire series, but has forgotte...more

I think this was my favorite of the Preternaturals books thus far because it ties so many of the characters from the previous books together. Primarily, we focus on Fiona and Z - a rather weak, agorophobic witch and a werepanther. They're brought together by a twist of fate and the chemistry Winters cooks up between them is delightful! Additionally, we get a glimpse into Cain and his thought process which I loved! I hope another book comes out soon with Cain as the main character - falling for T...more

Let me start pointing out that panther is my fave animal so, reading a book with that kind of shifters was more than a pleasure to me. But all truth to be told, the whole book was a great pleasure to read. A captivating, passionate story with handsome men in it? Yes, it was definitely a real pleasure!

I couldn't have loved Z more thanks to his being so caveman! That's what made him so damn special and so-so-sexy. I loved his constant putt...more

Oh, man. There were so many little things I liked about this book - Fiona's agoraphobia, her ineptitude in spell casting, her social awkwardness, Z and his rocking bachelor pad. Did I like the lengths Z went to to make sure Fiona would help him? Well... no, but it did shock her out of her very regimented life and forced her to reevaluate her fears. Frankly, the fact that she allowed the whisperings of the birds to dictate how far she was willing to walk from her front door tells me that she desp...more

My book blog - http://www.TheBookSnoop.com is participating in a book tour for this title. The tour is organized by Dark Minds Book Tours.

You can always count on Zoe Winters to give you kick butt females and sexy bad boys. The Catalyst doesn't disappoint.

I received this ebook as a free review copy from the author.

My rating falls at 3.5 but I will round up for Goodreads review purposes. First the good stuff - Z and Fiona are well drawn characters. I enjoyed their personalities and Winters was ab...more

This is the third book in the series and I haven’t read the first two. Does it matter or the book is good enough to stand alone? Well, till almost the end of the book, it does not matter. The book is good enough to stand alone till then. But during the climax, things got so confusing with me trying to figure out who is who and what happened in the past. So, it’s better if you read the series in order.

What does the book entail? It has lots of paranormal (incubus, succubus, witches, vampires and w...more

I really liked this book. Z and Fiona had great chemistry and the way the both wanted each other but didn't want each other had me glued to the pages.

Fiona has a bit of a phobia, she is scared to go out of her cottage, she even has to suck up the courage to go to her mailbox. She is kind of a weak witch but she can talk to animals. Then there is Z he is a total alpha male, love them and leave them type of guy and freaking crazy hot! Oh and a were-panther. He has found a baby werewolf and is tryi...more

In my notes I wrote down some thoughts before I started reading The Catalyst. Basically that I knew nothing of this story before I started reading, but I have read this authors work before and loved it. So I had high hopes for this story. Plus the main male is a panther shifter. That is completely hot in and of itself, right?!?

First this story starts with Fiona, an agoraphobic witch who can’t go past her own yard. And she doesn’t practice her craft, so she isn’t exactly a very good witch. She ne...more

Zoe Winters you've done it again!!! yet another book that i just couldnt put down! I love how previous characters come back into this book. I was shocked with the twist about Jane and Cole though... couldnt believe it really... had to re-read it until i made sure i got it right lol it all worked out in the end though, so i was happy :) i love Z. he's such a manly character lol typical bachelor, life is turned upside down, and falls madly in love. of course, he'd never admit it, lol. I love Cain...more

I should start this review by saying that I haven't read the previous two books in the series. With that said, I still really enjoyed this book. I was entertained throughout the whole thing.

Fiona was a very intriguing character, and I love the fact that she has agoraphobia. Z was extremely sexy, and I really want him as my own. The two of them had amazing chemistry together. The supporting characters were pretty much all great too.

This sounded so good, yet was a huge disappointment. Fiona was whiny, I got she was agoraphobic but things just didn't add up. I felt it was more of an excuse than an actual reason. Her rational about being safe as long as she's in doors doesn't really seem right. And to be honest clearly she wasn't because hello were-panther jumped through her window and was close to killing her. So it seems she's just in danger where ever she it.
Z, I found to be a self absorbed jerk. Granted he took in a wolf-...more

Ahhh, I love the Preternatural world that Zoe has created. In The Catalyst, book 3 in the series introduces us to a whole new set of characters. While revisiting some of our favorites from the first two books.

In The Catalyst we meet Z & Fiona. Z is a werepanther, who loves his solitary bachelor lifestyle. Yet, Z finds a soft spot in his heart to help an abandoned werewolf pup. Only problem is that the darn pup has run away and now Z has to track him down and he is not very happy about it. W...more

I wanted to go back and read the other books in the series before I read The Catalyst. It's really good to see characters have their own books (which is why I try and read all books in order). There are a few paranormal books that I read more than once, this series is already one of them!

I love how quick paced and fresh Zoe's books are. When I need a sure bet paranormal romance, I choose one of her books. This book was no exception. The characters are so real they jump from the pages. My one recommendation to new reader's of Zoe's would be to read the first two books in the series first (Blood Lust and Save My Soul) as many past characters make a reappearance in this book. I look forward to starting Life Cycle!

Fiona is agoraphobic. She can understand animals, and the birds have told her that if she leaves her house bad things will happen. Z is a playboy panther shifter who saved a young wolf cub and is trying to return it to his family but in the meantime needs help caring for it. I liked the dynamics between Fiona, even though she was agoraphobic, she was a strong character and called Z on his crap.

Good paranormal romance with a great set up for the next books in the series.

So I won this bookin a giveaway and I cant wait to read it, one problem though. I dont own or have ever read the first or second book, so I think I'll read this one and then read one and two, then read this one again lol. Wish me luck!!

Another fun read by Zoe Winters.

I really enjoyed getting back into this series. It had been awhile since I had read the previous books. The book was a fast entertaining read with some of the characters from previous books.
