I have loved this series from the first installment and this book was just as fun as the first. If you have not read any of the Wiccan House novellas before, they are basically a paranormal Fantasy Island, in my opinion. This particular installment focuses on Serena. I was very intrigued by this character when I first "met" her in book one and was excited to learn more about her. One of the things I particularly liked about this book of the series is that it really included people from the first ...more

This is the fourth book in the Wiccan Haus series. I have not read the first three, so I can honestly say that this novella stands on its own. The characters were easy to follow and I didn't feel there were "holes" in the story that reading the earlier books would have filled.

Wiccan Haus is a retreat where humans and paras can go to mend and/or find themselves. It feels a lot like a paranormal version of Asilomar or Esalen. It's a place I'd love to go and have my cards read or sit in the hot spr

Book 4 of the ‘Wiccan Haus’ series is “Siren’s Serenade” by Dominique Eastwick. We are brought back to one of the character we met briefly in Book 1, Serena, who is a mermaid with a deadly song. Serena’s mother is the queen of the mermaids and has given Serena an ultimatum. She has one year to figure out how to have a child without killing the father, which is how conception happens since the mermen disappeared, or she must return and follow her mother’s orders. So she comes to the Wiccan Haus a ...more

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review

This is the fourth book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content. This series is written by several authors. This is Dominique’s 2nd book in the series. She also wrote book 1.

I love Dominique’s writing style, and I always feel like I have the whole story and nothing was rushed. I also love that you have a bit of after the happily ever after to know what happens to them

Was this a short story? It sure didn’t feel like a short story. Are you sure?

The mermaids are living under a curse. To procreate they must steal the soul of a man at the time of conception. Serena has no desire to follow in her sister’s steps and refuses to kill innocent men. Unfortunately her mother is the queen and has given her a year to secure the line of succession or she will be forced to mate. Time is running out and she turns to the Rowan siblings and The Wiccan Haus Resort and Spa for h

When a Siren’s call is naught but love
After reading the first three books in this series I had some expectations before I ever cracked the spine of this one… umm can you crack a spine on an ebook? Ah well, I’m sure you all know what I mean. I’ve come to expect great secondary characters that stay true to their original type casting no matter the author. I expect the healing magic of an enchanted island beyond the realm of the mundane. I expect a magically healing love between two great leads. Of

I just posted this review on Amazon.

I was given this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I have said this before, I always give honest reviews whether people appreciate them or not. This is the republishing of the fourth book of the Wiccan Haus Series now from Decadent Publishing. Wiccan Haus is on an island off the coast of Maine and it is magically protected with a thick fog around is, and a magical boundary beneath the surface as well. It’s kind of a paranormal spa yet they do ha
Rekkus was back in this one! I do like that grumbly cat :) and he has reason to be grumbly this time around. Serena is a para that he needs to keep an eye on to ensure she doesn't kill any of the staff or guests. She's a mermaid but in this world, mermaids are a blend of our mermaids and sirens. In order to have children, they need human males (apparently there aren't any mermen) but the man has to die for the child to be conceived. Yep, that's a problem. Serena is also the heir to the mermaid t ...more

Short, quick read. Very sweet. Although it starts off a bit slow and it didn't keep my attention at first, it was a good read. It has a wide variety of paranormal beings in the book, most are just mentions, but in the book you have mermaids, were-tigers, witches, were-sharks and such. My first time reading about shifter water animals but I have to admit I am intruiged by them.

I didn't connect with Serena or Kaleb as much as I would of liked to but that did not take away from their story, or the

I am loving these Wiccan Haus characters more and more each time a read one of these books! To be a Siren and be able to lure any man you want into your arms....<'sigh'>

That is Serena's Curse, yes to her it is because the price to pay is very steep and she won't do it. So she goes to Wiccan Haus in hopes they may be able to help her, but what she finds there is not a cure, it's Kaleb and she uses all her willpower to stay away from him. Can this human withstand the song of the Siren?

This is a wonderful series. I love the new characters each book gives us and the fact that the characters from previous books also make appearances. The stories are so unique, engaging, exciting and original. Each author gives their own spin on the world of Wiccan Haus. Building upon the previous work of the other authors as well as adding their own piece to the world of Wiccan Haus. Kaleb is a Coast Guard officer who is on forced leave and relaxation after seeing something impossible.

Nothing was amiss and the story was written surprisingly well, simple as it was. I wish they could have given more emphasis on how Serena felt and not have made it expressed pettily. It was mostly focused on the guy, which I get, but I wish there could've been more well-placed angst somewhere in there. As a reader, there really wasn't a long-lasting empathy that was triggered within me by the characters and I guess that's just what this story lacked.

Siren's Serenade (Wiccan Haus, #4)
by Dominique Eastwick

After watching his best friend and fellow Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer die at sea, Kaleb is sent to the Wiccan Haus to heal, emotionally. His superiors believe he has PTSD, as he was saying he saw a mermaid. One thing that Kaleb has learned, keep your mouth shut.

Serena is your average mermaid. She doesn't want to be like her mother and the other mermaids. She doesn't want to kill human men just so she can procreate.
She wants to find love, but

Dominique's love of reading started when she was told to read TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD in high school. A book that opened her eyes to the joys of reading and entering into the world of the a
