Where to start...

An amazing and complex world, full of airships, guns and swords. An extremely lost main character, who despite it all accomplishes so much. Amazing places Penot paints in your mind. Seems a lot longer than it really is. Although a few slow parts that had me wondering if I would lose interest, but will keep your hands and eyes glued to the pages. Over all a great fantasy read.

I enjoyed this book for the most part; it is a great blend of sci-fi and fantasy. I like how the advanced technology was merged well with swords. The world-building was amazing, I felt like I was really there, and could see this world as Ailive did. I really liked the main character Ailive, she is pretty broken, but in a way

Twilight Saint is a breath taking story. I really enjoyed every page and couldn't put it down. Jessica Penot has created a world that is so alive and complete in it's complexity. It is like her world has always existed. This book is so dynamic and the reader is drawn into it's pages, waiting patiently to learn it's secrets. The author has blended the old and new together

Jessica Penot has created a great adventure to a whole new world that will have you guessing, grimacing, crying and holding your breath from its intensity. I'm not a big fan of futuristic stories but I'm very glad I chose to read this one! Very original, emotional, gripping, exciting and unpredictable in every sense of the word!

We get to experience a woman (Ailive) grow, change and adjust with the times as well as show great strength and power that only she wields. It amazed me how well she was

It is hard to say what I liked most about this book. At first I was so sure there would be nothing that I liked about it but as the story went on I couldn't have been more wrong.

Given away as a young child with a penchant t for violence the main character of the story had to face a multitude of trials to become the strong lethal force that is her assassins guild so to speak. So when her world crumbles at the sight that her tribe is not all knowing and the battle between good and evil isn't as bl

The author has constructed a very beautiful and intricate world. From the unique places, names, and gods, you would expect this to make it very hard to get hooked. Quite the opposite this book is so intriguing to discover and understand. The main character Ailive is just so raw in away. She is so blinded by faith and duty that it clouds her judgement for the majority of the book. She doesn't always have the greatest sense of right and wrong, becau

Ailive has been born to be an assassin but is constantly underestimated due to her sex. When she is neutered and saved by her doctor brother she still wants to serve the tribe even as she believes she is being punished for past sins. The betrayal within her tribe undermines her ability to stay unchanged, and then when she wanders as a tribeless s

Great book, a bit sad, that there's all this death, and it's hard to find what to do about it. Though there were a few parts that jumped around, that made it a bit confusing, but after the first chapter or so, it made a lot more sense!
