What did I think??? Hmmmm...
Well first off I would like to thank Annie for kindly giving me this book whilst it was in edits!!
I was so happy when I saw it in my inbox! I read it straight away and devoured it! After reading the few chapters she kindly put up on her profile I was bouncing up and down refreshing my inbox page every few seconds waiting for her name to pop-up.
Now to get back to the book. I have been sitting here debating with myself what rating to give this book and after battling More...

First of all, a huge thank you and congratulations to the amazing Annie Brewer for allowing me to read an eARC of her first book, I was honored!! I've been very anxiously awaiting the release of her work, and I was so excited to finally get my hands on it!!

In Back to You, Abby is your typical 17-year-old girl with family issues and indecision when it comes to the guy she's dating. Graduation is looming in the distance, and she's not sure where her future lies with the less-than-supportive Brady More...

Where do I begin with this review. Well, firstly I want to just say thank you to the amazing and wonderful Annie Brewer for allowing me the honour to accompany her on this journey with her. I have been there from the beginning when I saw the words that Annie wrote, being transformed into the story we have today. Being a beta reader, as well as helping to edit, has brought me closer to the story than I thought possible. And I'm forever grateful to Annie for the amazing experience and wild ride…lo More...

GOD! What a beautiful cover! I love it x2434738957983456487. A lot.

3.5 stars. I would give it full star if it weren't for Abby...*shakes finger at the girl*

I just wanted to cut her tongue from her mouth. She had severe word vomit. I don't think I can think of one moment where she said something right from the beginning to the almost end of the book. She's one of those people that complain and mopes about everything that happens to them but they make it all happen and bring it on themselves. I ca More...

Abby, what a girl!! I have to say I love her and the fact that she has all the crazy problems all girls do when we are young is even better! She has a first love but does not really know if he is the one or should be the one. As she goes through high school and she feel her life is falling apart at home,at school and her personal life she has to make some very tough choices.

I really enjoyed this book. I needed a break form paranormal stuff and this was just the one! Annie did a fabulous job wri More...

After such a long wait, I have FINALLY completed reading this book. I must say Annie dear, I was afraid there wouldn't be a character I could actually like *gasps*. Abby is so self conceited I couldn't even understand why Lucas saw anything else?????
But then it became obvious he was an idiot as well! So there, I didn't like the couple...
Why did I give it a 3 star? Sarah!!!! I loved her enough to actually like the book. She was going through crap in her life, yet she thought of her stupid immatu More...

I struggled a bit with this one. I couldn't connect to the characters. I actually ended up not caring for any of them, save for Sarah. I had a feeling she wasn't the raging bitch she seemed to be. Turns out, she was acting like that for a reason.

I was happy that Lucas put his feelings out there without a bunch of nonsense. I didn't understand why he seemed okay with Abby seeing him behind Brady's back, though. I wouldn't have put up with that mess, no matter how much I loved the person. I didn't More...

I hate to write this review, seriously, I do. I like Annie but this book just didn't do it for me. It might be your cup of tea but for me this book equals 1.5 stars.

1st of all, Abby got on my nerves. You knew she was gonna choose Lucas. She knew it too. But she just kept on dating the douche and cheating on him then feeling guilty about it and complaining and complaining... like wtf.

I would like to thank the wonderful Annie Brewer for providing me with an ARC of this book for review!
This is the sweet story of Abby and Lucas. Of their friendship and love, of their ups and downs. Back to you captures teen angst at it's best. It captures relationships between friends, family and first loves. There is tension, their is sadness, there is happiness, all wrapped up in the neat little package that is this book. Back to You caputres the true meaning of love and how it can withstand More...

It took me a few chapters to get into the book.Once I did I couldn't put it down!It was an enjoyable read.I had a little trouble with the mild language used but after I thought about it,most people do use that kind of language in their everyday life. However,I did think at some points the conversation the daughters and parents had a little too much mild language. This is just my opinion based on my upbringing.I did like the way the mother and Abby connected.I found this story be easy for people t More...

When Back To You first started off I was instantly drawn in. The characters showed off their personalities right away and I found each of them to be unique and endearing. I automatically loved Abby, Brooke, and the mom. I instantly despised Sarah. And I was confused about both Brady and Lucas. I felt all of those emotions already after reading the first 5 chapters! This should've been a hint that this read is an emotional roller coaster!

As I kept reading, I found myself being pulled in different More...

Quick and easy read for me. I was disappointed with some the interactions between the characters. For instance, (view spoiler)[ It has been three years since she was dating her best friend, Lucus, and she acts like they were together recently. When she and her current boyfriend break up, there was not enough drama. They both cheated on each other and they break up too easily for a couple who was together for three years. In fact all the relationships she has that should be in turmoil, recover too easily, excep (hide spoiler)] More...

I was one of the lucky few who got to get their grubby little hands on this little gem! Well to start Abby is relatable in the fact that she isn't perfect, she doesn't have everything and most of all she has feelings that everyone can relate to. She has to deal with the pressure of still being a virgin and trying to be in a committed relationship. She is a sister but she tries to be more then she needs to be. The book goes through ups downs and a twist I did not see coming. And Lucas! What can b More...

A high school love story mixed with the sweet emotions, thoughts, hopes and dreams of those finding their way in the world. Abby, a high school senior, is dating Brady. She should be happy, but part of her is wondering what's missing. She finds her thoughts going back to Lucas. Her best friend since childhood and ex-boyfriend. The story takes off from there. In the midst of all this is Abby's mother, her 15 year old sister Sarah, her best friend Brooke and her formerly absent father. There are t More...

I decided to read this after reading the review of a friend here on goodreads.
I have to say that I honestly couldn't quite get into this which was quite disappointing.

I felt that the plot was not endearing enough and I grew a little tired of the story the more I read.

I felt that there was little I could relate to and there was not enough emotive language used to make me feel strongly emotional about some of the more sensitive and sympathetic issues.

I couldn't quite bond nor like many of the More...

(view spoiler)[Yay to Annie on finishing her first book! I'm honored to get an upfront copy ;) I watched your writing style grow as the book went on. By time the ending rolled around the characters were very real to me. It's funny how I relate to parts of the book i.e. disfunctional high school relationships. By the time I was three quarters of the way through it was unputdownable. I'm sad the book isn't going to be a series, however it was one of those books that can successfully stand alone. I felt satisfied (hide spoiler)] More...

I had such high expectations for this book. I'm friends with Annie on Goodreads and her reviews and updates always make me laugh, so I really wanted to like Back To You and give it an awesome, massive review. Unfortunately, I did not like this book, but it was ok. I really hate to say it, but it was almost cringe-worthy.

Just before I start, I just want to say that I don’t want to be mean! I’m just being honest. Constructive criticism, perhaps? I’m not being mean!

Ok, so I’ll start with the gramm More...

The remarkable story behind Back to You by Annie Brewer will put its readers through many emotions. It is a nice shift from the available flooding selections of paranormal romance. Readers are introduced to seventeen-year-old Abby, who is going through some family issues and uncertainties with the guy she is dating. She does not really see a future with her boyfriend Brady but feels safe being with him. She is torn between Brady and her best friend, Lucas, who has always been there for her. When More...

I have to say that I was a little disappointed in reading this book. It was a cute read. I thought the writing was a little choppy and some what thrown together.Conversations and who was speaking got annoying.I reread a few sentences about 5 times before understand what it was ment to say.Much of the beginning parts dragged on and on. Abby I really didnt like her, actually none of them well except for Sara.I didnt like her at all in the begining just like all the More...

I'm sorry Annie, truly I am, but I just couldn't finish this - I couldn't even get halfway. I think it really had a lot of potential, I liked the sound of the storyline a lot, but I think your writing needs improvement. I guess I can't judge you, after all you are a published author and people really seem to like this book. Maybe it's just me.
1.5 stars. Although most of that is for the cover.

I was disappointed with this book... I was hoping it would have been a lot better. The characters were all whiney and immature. Even though they were all in high school, they acted like they were in middle school. And the mom??? What mom acts like that. I had a really hard time finishing it.

I thought it was very well written. Topics insightful, relevant and typical of high school YA. I loved Lucas. Thought Abby was a brat. The characters and the situations they find themselves in are perfectly portrayed, I thought. I wasnt riveted but I kept coming back because I did make a connection with the Lucas and Abby and needed closure, which of course, I got.

Meh. This seemed like every YA contemporary book out there. Nothing really special. The main heroine was hard to like . And the grammar errors were annoying. Waste of a day of reading.

This book was okay. I found it hard to root for either male counterpart. I felt like I couldn't mourn the friendship that died because, I didn't experience it. The emotional pull wasn't there for me. The premise was on point, but the story didn't quite reach my heart strings. The author of this book is one of the biggest reviewers of books on this site. Its crazy that she didn't produce a better product.
