Meghan Chase is finally getting used to being the Iron Queen, ruler of the Iron Fey. Her life may be strange, but with former Winter prince Ash by her side at last, she wouldn’t have it any other way.

But when they travel to the Summer and Winter courts’ gathering for Elysium, the oracle from Meghan’s past returns with a dire prophecy: “What you carry will either unite the...more

Meghan and Ash's UNBORN CHILD?

Excuse me while I try to breathe.

Edit (11/8/12):
Reading this made me realize how much I've missed Ash and Meghan. They're just so perfect together. Gahh. Also, Kagawa's wonderfully creative mind strikes again. I really liked that transition part where Meghan enters the Dream Pool, and of course the Wishing Tree was lots of fun too (big snakes yay)! The Lost Prince was kind of ehhh for me, since I didn't really like reading from Ethan's POV. It makes me wonder what...more

As Nigahiga said in one of his videos, "From the bottom of my esophagus to the top of my sternum... I thank you." I thank you, Kagawa! More Iron Fey for me!

I want to cry right now, but I'm out of tears. Or I had none in the first place. Whatever. And yes, the snake on the cover has a significance in this book, but it's kind of small, and missing a head...

Mortals! Yes, I am talking to you as a mortal myself! As someone who completed the journey to Nevernever, I have a warning to make:
- Those who have read this may know everything and nothing about The Lost Prince.
- Those who are interested in completing this journey and start a new one should see the contents of this book.
- Those who do not wish to venture further into Nevernever, should never read the book.
- And those who are interested in the future of The Lost Prince, s

Post-Reading:
For once, I'm speechless. I have nothing to say about this book. If you could see my facial expressions and hear how fast my heart was beating, then you'd know exactly what I thought of it. But I'm just going to leave a little letter here to Julie Kagawa:

Dear Julie,

Thank you. Thank you for letting me experience one last adventure with some of my favourite characters ever written. Thank you for taking the time to write a short story that shows a glimpse into what occurred next. Thank...more

SO MUCH ASH AND MEGHAN CUTENESS!!!! This book is too brilliant to put into words - all those sobbing episodes you all had at the end of Iron Knight when you realised that yes, Ash was back, but no, you wouldn't get to read more about him and his smexy self...they were all worth it!! Because Julie has come back with a story that is full of adventure, humour, Puck-ness (:D), foreboding and of course LOVE.

If you weren't Team Ash before, prepared to be now. Personally, I'm fence-sitting...I love Pu...more

I wasn't sure what to expect from this novella. Sure, the summary does give plenty of the plot away, but I'm still glad to say that Julie Kagawa surprised me. I missed these characters so much - especially Ash - and it was wondeful to dive into Nevernever and Meghan's life yet again. So much has changed since we last saw her, and it was different to see her as The Iron Queen. Meghan was powerful and regal, but she had the same heart. She still loved Ash, and would do anything to protect her fami...more

I loved this! I was so happy to have everyone back together that I had to try really hard to hold in a squeal while I was reading (it was the middle of the night and my husband was sleeping).

"Well," Puck said cheerfully, forcing a rather pained smile, "it's just like old times, isn't it? You, me, ice-boy, the future of the Nevernever hanging in the balance... we just have to wait for the Furball to show up and then it'll be perfect."
"He is already here, Goodfellow," came a familiar voice behin

This probably would have gotten 5 stars from me if I had read this before I read The Lost Prince.

This and other reviews can also be found on my blog (un)Conventional Bookviews.

This was a good story, and the characters Meghan, Ash and Puck were present, there were also glimpses of Oberon, Tatiania and Mab. Nice filler story, and also to explain some things that aren't really discussed in The Lost Prince.

The Review: The IRON'S PROPHECY is a novella, taking place a couple of years after THE IRON KNIGHT took place. Happily married to Ash, Meghan Chase could not be happier, until both of them have to travel to the Summer and Winter courts’ gathering for Elysium. There the oracle tells Meghan a prophecy about Ashes unborn child being the destruction of the court or the savior of it.

I cannot go into details on what I loved about the book without giving away spoilers, so this is what I will say; that...more

This is another fabulous novella that ties together the entire series perfectly. There's not much I can say about this story without dropping some major spoilers for those who haven't read the series yet, aside from what the synopsis has already revealed. I will say I enjoyed this story!

I loved getting to see Ash and Meghan together, as husband & wife, Knight and Queen. Despite this book being rather short, Julie throws in some great kissy scenes with these two. I love seeing how much Ash ha...more

So ... I've come into the whole Iron Fey series late (which is actually fine with me). I knew there were four books, with three novellas. I didn't read everything back to back, but I got them all pretty close together. I did JUST finish Iron Knight ... I think this novella actually might be better received with some distance between the readings. Looking at the reviews, I see people SO happy to catch another glimpse of Meghan, Ash, Puck and Grim, like it's been so long. For me, I'd just finished...more

This is by far the best of the three novella’s Julie Kagawa has written, because of the subject-matter. It also sets the tone for the upcoming Iron Fey books, because it deals with the future relationship between Ethan, Meghan’s brother, and Keirran, Meghan’s future son.

By relationship, I mean “impending doom”. Because you know, there’s a prophecy that forestalls that the whole faery world will end if those two meet. Yeah, not scary at all.

The moral dilemma Meghan had to face, which was whether...more

*4.5 stars* This glimpse back into Ash's, Meghan's, Puck's, Grimalkin's, heck even Glitch's life...WAS AWESOME. Satisfying yet it fed my unending hunger for more of this magical and enchanting world of faery. Oh man, I sound like a drug junkie fresh from rehab.

Being able to see the revamped Mag Tureidh, court of the Iron Fey and Meghan and Ash's home was so heartwarming, seeing Beau and Razor and the other gremlins play together and making all that ruckus. We got to see Ash in all his former Ice...more

I loved it, there's really nothing else to say. This novella was amazing, but really anything written by Julie Kagawwa is bound to be epic. So, many things happened in the short span of this novella and I adored every second of it. Meghan had a lot of character development in this story, I think this is where I have most loved her as a heroine. She was powerful and regal, a true queen of the Iron Fey, yet still the girl who came to the Nevernever lo...more

This novella is such a must-read for Iron Fey lovers! Everyone needs to read this. Seriously, when I read The Lost Prince, the first book in the spin-off series, Call of the Forgotten, at many points, I was lost in this other dimension (figuratively and literally). Iron's Prophecy provides the necessary explanations to smoothly transition from The Iron Knight to The Lost Prince because there's such a large time gap between the two series. Al...more

So, I downloaded this The Iron Prophecy for free since the people from The Iron Fey page on Facebook unlocked this free download thing from their official page and yes, I already finished it. I've been meaning to get my hands on a copy of The Iron Legends but it's just too pricey here in Manila. Well, anyway the novella is told in Meghan's POV. And yes, we have ourselves a bunch of Ash and Puck along the way.

I will not thoroughly delve into this since it's just a...more

I’m a huge sucker for happy endings. I love it when things end perfectly, with a silver bow on top to finish it. That’s why I loved the Iron Knight. I loved the nice ending the most. As for Iron’s Prophecy, let’s just say I was not disappointed with the ending. I loved how nice it was! It actually kept me happy!

Other than happy endings, I’m really glad I picked up Iron’s Prophecy. While it may be a short little novella, it’s still packed with action, Ash and...more

Where do I begin with this amazing series? This was another that sat on my to read list for far too long before I finally had the chance to pick them up. I have to thank my lovely friend Touya from The Reader's Garden for badgering me until I was completely enthralled with just the idea of reading these books. I devoured all four volumes in a week. Then I went and read all the novellas, (yes, out of order, sorry guys)....more

I had mixed feelings for this novella and the spin-off series of The Iron Fey. I was excited for both but after reading The Iron Knight, I sincerely thought that Ash and Meghan's story could finally be left alone and that any other additional story was unnecessary. The rainbows, butterflies and peace and quiet at the end of The Iron Knight screamed happily ever after to me and now this! Poor Ash and Meghan. Julie can't seem to stop torturing them.

With books in the fantasy/paranormal genre, they are only really good to me when I can disappear in the world. When I can clearly visualize the world and understand everything that occurs in it. It's fiction that should take you to a place, not like your own while being written in a way that makes you desperately want to live there. The best books in this genre makes me believe that the fantasy world does exist somewhere in the world. It's never just a book.

Julie Kagawa's books have...more
