Haley's life has never been the same since she lost her father as a child. Now, harboring dreams of being a Hollywood screenwriter, she signs up for classes being taught by Hollywood producer Allen Michaels. At the same time, she meets, and falls for, computer repairman, Marc Vincetti. When a stalker enters the picture, lives are changed forever.

How to describe this book without spoiler alerts? Just be forewarned; nothing is ever as it seems. As a matter of fact, it is a much better story than

While reading "The Halo Effect", I found my head spinning - not from demonic possession but as a result of the psychological twists and turns in this interesting tale. Pamela Crane has penned a novel worthy of the most discerning thriller fan's attention. It's not an easy read. The story requires focus and even then, you may re-read pages to make sure you got it right.

The first few chapters lay the ground work - but don't become complacent. "The Halo Effect" is a dark, brooding tale that never a

The thought that kept running though my mind was “WTF is going on” {like riding a roller coaster in the dark} . Two chapters into this book and I remembered the main reason behind my tendency to read more romances than thrillers – romances end with a HEA; thrillers are open-ended. With each page, it got harder and harder to not flip to the last chapter and peek…just to so I could know how it ends. However, I’m so glad I didn’t sneak a peek because nothing could have prepared me for the ending – ...more

Well, this book didn't work out for me. I know many others have loved it but for me it was very disconnected and just broken.

I could not make sense of what and why the situations were there in the book though later on during the course of reading they became clear, the book still feels very disoriented and apart.

The plot of the book is unique and very promising but it isn't carried out as well.

Yes, I did like the twist in the end but it somehow didn't fit in with the rest of the book.

Also, I am

Confusing at first to get into but once you're in you're not getting out until the ride is over. An amazing suspenseful psychological thriller that leaves you guessing, thinking you have the answer, second guessing, changing your answer and then you still get it wrong. It has been a long time since I've read something that could send my mind on a marathon. A book I will be rereading over and over. I highly recommend you let your shelves have the privilege of having this book lay upon them. You w

This book was a very interesting read. I could never really get my head wrapped around one idea of how it was going before something else happened. By the end of the book it was completely different from how I thought it was going to end! If you enjoy suspense then please look into this book. It was a little hard to get into at first but after that it had me hooked and had me changing my mind a lot. I tend to be able to tell how a book is going to end and I highly enjoyed that this one kept me o ...more
