Editor's Note: Before you read this, be sure and read Safeword Davenport first.

So to recap real quick, I liked Dana, Brent and Jacob. I tolerated Zach. I really couldn't see what Dana found appealing about him. After reading this, I am honestly still trying to figure it out.

Dana is both a submissive and a masochist as we found out last time. She also discovered she has a Dominant Streak but isn't really into Switching with someone. So her relationship with Jacob fulfills the second part and her More...

After reading SAFEWORD: Davenport, I was hesitant to read the next installment of the continuing tiresome, drama of Dana and Zach. WOW - WOW - WOW! What a difference. The quartet is back and better than ever!

I am happy to say the ghosts of their spouses have finally departed: May they rest in peace. Dana and Zach are working through their issues, identifying them, and realizing all won't be solved overnight, or even in three months time. They agree to a co More...

As reviewed on Kinky Book Reviews by Riane:

In Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon, you follow the continuing story of Zach and Dana relationship, including their friendship with Brent and Jacob. We got to meet and fall in love with all of the characters in Safeword: Davenport. This book shows us how they grow and develop a much closer relationship.

Since receiving a copy of this book for review, I’ve read it twice. Yes, twice. The first time I read it, I really enjoyed it but felt a little disconnec More...

The first book in this series Safewords: Davenport was amazing. Yes there is sex and BDSM in the book. However there is more to the book than just that. This book takes a reader through the relationship of a couple that has the alternate lifestyle of BDSM. This book shows that even though this is something different it is not a bad thing to feel or enjoy this with you partner. However it should be with a partner that you trust.

One Sunday while sitting at work waiting on parts I started reading t More...

Safeword Davenport and Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon are two halves of a longer story, one that begins with a woman slowly, almost reluctantly, recovering from the death of her husband (the only Master she's ever known), and a man recovering from the death of his wife (not the only, but the most significant slave he's ever known). There's a romance there, a promise of an outwardly seeming normal relationship, but one built around the idea of a total power exchange. As you might expect, it's a More...

Let me just take a moment here to say holy kinkiness! Wow. There's just no word suitable for the way this book makes you feel. I have never read Ms. Blevins' work before now, but I can assure you that this will most definitely not be my last book by her. I loved every minute of this book. I picked it up instantly after finishing the last pages for Safewords: Davenport. I had to know where Zach and Dana ended up with their lives, and I just didn't want to wait. So, I sat down and once again, as w More...

Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon is the continuation of Dana’s story, working through her grief over the loss of her husband, Garnet and beginning her life with Zach. Under no circumstances could you read this book without reading Safeword: Davenport first. You will be lost, you won’t understand why things happen in this book the way they do and you’ll absolutely regret not reading a wonderfully written book.

With that said, Davenport and Chiffon picks up More...

Today's review is on Safewords-Davenport & chiffon by: Candace Blevins

Davenport:
First and foremost I must repeat the warning listed on Amazon for this book. "This title contains graphic language, consensual BDSM, bondage, intense sensory deprivation, extreme electrical play, enemas, and the use of toys including clamps, canes, plugs, cages, paddles, whips, and floggers." With that said, if these things excite you, then you will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book. And while the sex and exploration ar More...

While the second part of this duet was entertaining, I nearly threw my kindle across the room when Zach, in order to reclaim Dana...after he rejected her submission and kept information from her, pumped a plug to an excruciating size to prepare her for him. She accepted his torment. Love. Pumped up, he then used her mouth. All part of reclaiming, from Zach rejecting her, she had to suffer, while he inflicted more pain. He asked her to show him how much she wanted to submit to him. Zach told Dana More...

Review:

"Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon" by Candace Blevins was a good (BDSM)
erotic merage romantic read. This was a friendship with Zach, Dana, Brent and Jacob. Let me say this is a ADULT AUDIENCE ONLY! Now, having said that this novel deals with how these four people 'grow and develop a very close relationship.' "Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon" is the fifth in a series fro More...

Okay, let me tell you right off the bat that if you aren't into hardcore BDSM and especially anal use, this is NOT the story for you. If you are into those things or aren't scared to give the book a shot - you will thoroughly enjoy it. You MUST, however, read the previous story; Safewords: Davenport. The story between Zach and Dana started in Safeword: Davenport and continues in this installment and builds. Add in the relationship between Dana and Jacob and you've got a great story of someone wh More...

Dana continues her Domme journey with Jacob as well as her sub journey with Zach. Based on the emotional upheavals in the first of this two part series, one would expect this book to be a smooth smexy sailing of sadistic scenes. This would be a false assumption.

A happily ever after story is basically when the author decides to end the story. Usually, this is after a happy event. Ms. Blevins appears to enjoy taking the long and winding road which also happens to be an emotional roller-coaster. Wh More...

Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon is the latest in the "Safewords" series by Candace Blevins and the second part of the story which began in Safewords: Davenport.

Candace Blevins writes books that are pretty much beyond my comfort zone in terms of BDSM activities - these books are not for the faint of heart, and each book ramped up my discomfort. That being said, I kept reading and enjoying them because her characters, and their relationships, fascinated me, even while their activities totally sqw More...

A continuation of Dana and Zach's story, now focusing more on their mutual needs and the building of their relationship than just on Dana's issues as in Book 4. An insightful look at the issues that persist when two people are in love but must still deal with the death of deeply loved spouse and facing the future with a new love. Deeply involved in the BDSM lifestyle, this is filled with that kind of power exchange and those who are offended by that will probably not like this series. But for th More...

This was not a satisfying conclusion for me. Safewords Davenport and Chiffon take everything I liked about Safeword Davenport and makes it miserable.
In the first book, I enjoyed Dana and Zach negotiating their power exchange. Discovering and testing their limits. In Chiffon, it got boring. They over-analyze and negotiate their relationship to death. It felt like there were numerous written contracts and agreements constantly being hammered out. I'm sure that is how some "real life" TPE relation More...

This book was added to my list of my favorites. I loved almost every scene of this book ... wow.
the union of the two pairs interconnected by Dana and Jacob is amazing especially when they are joined by their two doms. in this book is to strengthen, not without setbacks, the relationship between Dana and Zach growth of trust between them and the realization of a TPE relationship, which I think is easy to do.

I like the author, I don't love this book as much as her others. I also grew to like Zach less in this book than in the previous Safeword Davenport. I like all of the other character's. Some of the kink veers outside of my zone, but Blevins writes so well I can squirm past it. Blevins is defiantly not BDSM light, and may not be for everyone. I do recommend her for lovers of harder kink who also like HEA.

A great continuation to Safeword Davenport. I was glad to see that Jacob and Brent continued to play a prominent part in Dana's life. The story had some twists and turns that I didn't see coming. There were also some very hot scenes. I would still love to read the back-story of Jacob and Brent--how they met and how their relationship developed to where it is now. I definitely look forward to reading more by this author. More...

Review will be on Manic Readers. I can only say this does not disappoint in any way. The hallmark (signature) of Candace's books is the communication and she writes it exceptionally well. Direct, honest, but with passion and zest. The best in BDSM!

Well I loved Safeword Davenport so of course I loved this one as well. I'm glad we got a sneak into the "rest of the story" with Dana, Zach, Brent and Jacob. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the femdom aspects of these two books but I'm going to be actively looking for a few more femdom stories for 2013.

Candace Blevins is a master of mixing an emotional story with character growth with some very hot sex. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!
