Another great read by Maggie Osborne. If you like stories of a heroine dressing and living as a man, this would be a great book to read. For five years Samantha Kinkade lived as bounty hunter Sam Kinkade, with the single quest to kill the man who killed her mother and destroyed her family. To help flush out the bad guy, she captures his brother - who just so happens to be on his own personal quest to find and kill his brother! IMHO, not quite as good as Silver Lining or The Promise of Jenny Jone ...more
samantha is after hannibal because he killed her family, and committed atrocities while doing it. when she first sees trace, she recognizes the eyes, and thinks that he is hannibal. samantha is a bounty hunter, and trace has a bounty on his head, so she takes him in. along the way, trace makes a deal that he will help her get hannibal, because he is after the man himself.

what i liked: i liked the build of relationship between trace and samantha. the fact that she didn't trust him even t

There was no sex- that is, the hero and heroine had sex, but we were firmly locked out of the room. After all the dialogue about thinking about each other naked and the heroine constantly looking at his crotch and thinking about how wet she got just when he looked at her, I couldn't believe the author suddenly went prudish. Started out cute, but got terribly boring towards the end. A terrible narrator, too. Oh, god, what a narrator.
Wonderful clean lovestory set in the west-- which I really like. Samantha poses as a man and is a bounty hunter. She is looking for the man who raped and killed her mother and shot her which caused her father to commit suicide. She meets his brother and they go together to to try to find this man. Very good!
This book starts out great. Then it gets annoying and more annoying toward the end.

It's just amazing that by donning a dress the heroine would suddenly undergo personality change. From a sensible, tough-talking tomboy to a hysteric, undignifying girl. Too unreal, too cinderella-ish to my taste.
Reread. Great story. The bad guy is really just bad but then too, there's a story there that makes you feel for him. Would have loved an epilogue.
