This a narratively clean, very short story about a professional art thief attempting a tricky heist; as part of this she has infiltrated the staff of a slightly dubious private collector, and (with her crew) said thief is just days away from making her move. A woman thief is undercover, working for a shady art collector, while planning to rob him one night and return the artifacts to the country they belong to. Meanwhile, a sexy reporter catches her eye, and she breaks all the rules to bed her, only to have everything go to hell...or does it?

And soon the loot will be theirs once they haul it out of the museum where it

Amy Gaertner is quite nearly a life-long writer and teller of tales, but has only recently decided to ply those trades in a professional capacity. (She does, however, seem to be getting the hang of talking about herself in the third person.) Most of her works fall under the broad umbrella of "speculative fiction", but she's nurtured a rather substantial soft spot in her heart for romance. (In othe ...more
