Review from Way Too Hot Books

Mr. Gray, you got served! According to Goodreads, The Ninety Days of Genevieve was first published in... 1996. I tried to check that out, but I didn't manage to find any details about 1996. edition. If this information is not correct, please let me know. But if it is - my mind was trying to figure out how old I was back than and what I was doing. My innocent self was happily making fool of herself while dancing to Macarena, Where Do You Go and Un-Break My Heart or cr
Initial reaction: I actually didn't realize this novel went back as far as it did for publishing and that it's actually a re-pub, but my biggest issue was how static the characters seemed despite some purportedly steamy scenes, alongside problematic scenes that just made my skin crawl despite reading it from a distant eye. It takes on the rather familiar premise (or was this one of the titles that shaped that particular premise - it's hard to tell) of a woman who's at the beck and call of her su ...more
I promised not to read any more of that romance/erotica crap, but I guess I`m not that good with promises.
Saw this one at the bookstore, always been a fan of nude photography (the cover of Latvian edition), so it got me hooked, I read the cover synopsis, realized I`ve got to give this one a try. I wasn't disappointed!
If you`re reading Genevieve for hot sex - thumbs up, it`s good, open minded, almost like an imaginative soft pornography, actually, dish the soft, it is pornography, but very enjoy

Hmm.. this book sure is different from all those 'Fifty Shades-like' books out there. You really need to be open-minded to be able to read this book!!

Genevieve wants nothing more then James Sinclair's signature at the bottum of a contract of the firm she works for.. James on the other hand has one little favor to ask of Genevieve before he signs, he wants her for ninety days, ninety days of submitting to his every desire, every sexual fantasie, she has to agree with every thing he tells her to

Genevieve is a woman willing to do anything for her career. So when James Sinclair might be interested in moving his accounts to her firm, she's ready to do just about anything to get his signature on those contracts. But James isn't interested in Genevieve for her professional savy, he wants to explore her sexual nature; a side of her that he knows is there - but a side that she's yet to set free.

Ninety days of being at his beck and

Smutty and erotic but H seemed too much of a caricature, I didn't care either way about a HEA.

Oh My GOD!! Save yourself ! Save the time you would spend reading on this and Save the money you would spend... I am a very open minded person Ive read nearly all the BDSM books and erotic/romance out there but this just was at the bottom of them all . Ive read even the free books and we all know the free books we can get online from amazon are usually crappy but they were better then this book. !

I enjoyed reading this book, i liked the fact the the lead character was ambitious and willing to do anything to further her career, and if spending 90 days with a hot rich guy then so be it.
Theres alot of sex scenes in this book, but what i liked the most was the love story element of the book, as im a sucker for romance!

Genevieve Lofton wants to sign James Sinclair with her firm, she agrees to 90 days of whatever he wants. If she doesn’t back out he will give her his signature. But she must do everything he wants … trust me everything and anything he wants.

The character of Genevieve is focused only on business. She really doesn’t have time for romance or relationships. Being top at her firm is what she is focused on. She is sexy, but never really realized it, that is until James came along and helped her find

A delicious story on Genevieve acting out sexual fantasies she didn't even know she had and falling in love with the hero in control in the process. The telling was breathtakingly sensual. I was kept guessing most of the time, but goodness, what a heart-pounding journey it was! The motorcycle scene was arousing in the can't-catch-your-breath type of way. I would have like to know more from James' perspective, to see his emotional ties to her, but I guess that would have taken the fun out of the ...more

was slightly dissapointed with this book to start with (was even tempted to put it down a few times) but really glad i finished it......had a good twist to it at the end (this book had me swearing at the male character lol)

Very shallow and cold story. I had a feeling the writer was forced to write this book. Big big disappointment.

Article first published as Book Review: The Ninety Days of Genevieve by Lucinda Carrington on Blogcritics.

The Ninety Days of Genevieve was first published over a decade ago, and has now been re-released with a subtle, simple new cover, which has a graphic proclaiming "If you like Fifty Shades of Grey You'll LOVE this!". I certainly don't blame anyone for jumping on thebandwagon, and I can definitely see the similarities between this book and the infamousFifty Shades.

However, although I liked Fif

Erotica I feel should be like art, something that should seem natural and beautifully penned, so you may enjoy it!
'Ninety Days' just pushes the barrier of pleasure and borders weird and disgusting acts of sexual practices. I seriously don't see how one can be in love with a woman and be okay with her getting physically intimate with other men or in front of them!
But then, i'm a conservationist! My idea of romance, sensuality or even wild sexual behaviour is not anywhere on the lines of this book

Note: I was provided a free galley of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The Ninety Days of Genevieve is not for everyone. It's definitely erotica, not just a sexy romance. So if you don't read erotica, be aware of that. It also seems slightly dated in places since it was originally released in 1996. The book also starts out with a bit of a sexual harassment style narrative.

The story focuses on Genevieve who enters into an unusual agreement with Mr. Sinclair. She will get

Fun to read when you are in the right mood and yes, far better than Fifty shades of Grey. But then, that isn't all that hard, is it? :-)

Negentig Dagen Genevieve (the Dutch edition of The ninety days of Genevieve) doesn't judge, has no plot to speak of and no in-depth characters, but that doesn't really matter, as that's not the reason why you picked up the book in the first place, or is it? The ending is a bit sugary, compared to the rest, but who cares. As I said, the book is just good fun to r

Wow, a friend told me to check this out, and while the cover was less than enticing, I tried a sample. Real glad I did, and pleased to note a Brit wrote it. We are naughty but nice in Brit-land, lol. It's not a new publication, being written I believe in 1997. It is one of the most erotic books I've ever read. I couldn't put it down. The premise for the story is an unusual one, and it works. The writing does not appear dated, which is a tribute to the writers skill and way with words. Miss Carri ...more

šo grāmatu izvēlējos, jo man ieteica draudzene, sakot, ka tā ir līdzīga "Fifty Shades of Grey".

Normally I wouldn't write a review for it but it had been marketed as something similar to 50 Shades so I want you guys to beware.

This novel is not like 50 Shades and normally that would have been a complement coming from me since I didn't like 50 Shades trilogy at all, but this novel is a weird one where the kink is squeaky clean, the story is rather boring with very dry prose and you wait and wait for some sort of stimulation and it never comes.

The heroine is supposed to be this smart, compet

I was pleasantly surprised by this piece of erotica. Lucinda Carrington offers readers a glimpse into the world of fetish and kink that is non-judgemental and doesn't result from the characters having some awful secret in their pasts. It is a sweet romance with elements of kink and lots and lots of sexually charged encounters. What I liked was that at the core, this book is a romance and a happily ever after is anticipated and achieved. The sexual scenes move the story along. The premise of a se ...more
