In honor of Proposition 8 going before the Supreme Court, I decided to dedicate the month of April to reading LGBT books. This one was the first that I stumbled upon. I read other reviews on the book, as I usually do, before diving into this one. Some complain about the violence in the book. Initially, I had the same reaction. However, if you read it closely, the author is teaching a vital lesson here. Domestic violence within the LGBT commmunity is real and often overlooked. Those in such relat ...more

The very first novella that I was introduced to by author Christiana Harrell opened me to a whole new meaning of the LGBT community! Since fifteen I have tried to find my way in the "real" LGBT world and this collection of stories writes out every real life story for me! Nothing like what people speculate or what is altered on the t.v screen! There are favorites of course, but one thing for sure is that there isn't one dull story at all!! It doesn't just pull in the LGBT community either, it tur ...more

This book has everything in each of the short stories-love, murder, and re-awakening of one's desire for another. This is my first time reading this author so I would be interested in reading her other books.

This was a great book. I hated when it came to an end. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I stumbled upon this authors work after she left me a 1 star review. I downloaded her work expecting to see none of what I was criticized about. I am not a petty person so I read the book really trying not to be biased and get a honest feel for her style of writing. I have two different opinions of the novel. No, its not a horribly bad novel but I don't feel its oh my god a must read novel either. Maybe to the women who tire of men and just jump on the bandwagon then yes I would recommend highly ...more

"I write about heterosexuals, I write about lesbians, I write about transgenders... I write about people."

Writing is my life. I don't do it to make money. I do it because I enjoy it and I love the escape that comes with it. If I win awards with this gift that's fine. If I dont, that's fine too. At least, I'll have left something behind.
