Better than what I expected.
This was a free read online (se link at the end) and i enjoyed it a lot.
Francines father has decided that she is to wed a title, and nothing less. When she meets the accountants son, Anthony, she starts to dream, but is that possible, for her, to want a marriage of love?
Very cute, historical romance, short, fluffy read with some smut.
The mother, mrs Richards, =) was great at the end.

I could not find any redeeming qualities about the heroine Francine, a character from the 1st book in the series. She was a mean, "fat," sweaty, badly dressed spinster! How was Anthony attracted? Especially b/c she was mean and rude by every1 else's standards! I didn't like the authors description of her being fat either when she clearly was just full figured. It made it tough to "see" her clearly. She was a very unbecoming character all around.
It was refreshing to read about a heroine that was "plump" as opposed to ones that are petite and have tiny waists. I also liked how the hero wasn't a man of means, but honest and not an irresponsible cad, alcoholic, gambling womanizer.

I really liked this novella. It was long enough to have a fairly complete story and I really liked the heroine, Francine. Her character evolved very nicely.

A USA Today Bestseller, JADE LEE has been scripting love stories since she first picked up a set of paper dolls. Ball gowns and rakish lords caught her attention early (thank you Georgette Heyer), and her fascination with the Regency began. An author of more than 40 romance novels and winner of dozens of industry awards, she finally gets to play in the best girl-heaven place of all: a Bridal Salo ...more

“Yes, well, how was I to know you would be so dramatic? Really, Francine, I don’t know where you get it from.” Then she primly grabbed the fowling gun before departing from the room.” 2 likes
