I’ve read a lot of shifter stories and honestly there’s not many werewolves I’ve read that I haven’t liked, but in Full Moon Fire, I found the heroes in this book to be a step above many of them. I’ve read a lot of shifter stories and honestly there’s not many werewolves I’ve read that I haven’t liked, but in Full Moon Fire, I found the heroes in this book to be a step above many of them. There was something very compelling and intriguing about the characters and I loved watching them find a way to be together. From the first page to the last word, I was immediately swept up into the lives of these two heroes and I found myself on the edge of my seat to see how everything would turn out between them.

The blurb is pretty short and to the point. Daniel is a firefighter who is good at his job, but sometimes struggles to keep his werewolf side a secret. When he is called to a hotel fire and finds a young man unconscious on the bed, he immediately knows two things. One is that the man is his mate and the other is he’s seen him on the street corner hooking for a living. He saves the man, but not before reviving him and seeing that the young man will truly be alright. But to his dismay, seeing and saving his mate has brought out the wolf side of him and he ends up leaving the scene right after he saves his mate from the fire or others might discover his shifting side, and he can’t ever allow that to happen.

Vincent knows he’s lucky to have escaped the fire alive, but it’s the handsome firefighter with the luminous eyes that he can’t forget. So when the firefighter comes to his street corner a couple of nights later and asks for his time, Vincent is more than glad to give his own personal hero his own personal thank you. But Daniel doesn’t just want a quick tryst with Vincent; he wants more…he wants to get to know him. Date him. And Vincent doesn’t know what to do or think about it.

When Vincent’s street walker friends start being murdered, it throws Vincent and Daniel into a web of danger and deceit. Daniel is determined to keep Vincent safe and Vincent can’t help but do the one thing he’s always sworn he’d never do…fall in love. But, there’s more to Daniel than meets the eye. When Vincent finds out about Daniel’s wolf side, will he accept his new lover as he is, or will the fear of the unknown drive Vincent into the killer’s grasp?

I loved this book! It’s a very fast-paced, edge of your seat read with just the right amount of love and romance to keep this reader enthralled with every moment I spent reading it. I thought both Daniel and Vincent were well written characters. Neither man is perfect, and they have to work through a lot of things to find their way to be together, but I adored them as a couple and thought they were definitely meant to be together. There are a few other characters in this book that really brought something to the story too. Each character breathed off of the written page and I thought the mystery and action in this book was plentiful and well thought out.

This is the first book I’ve read by J. Rose Allister and it definitely won’t be my last! I loved this author’s descriptive storytelling talent and appreciated how she gave me several hours of great entertainment along with a beautiful romance. If you are looking for a shifter story that reads fresh and unique, then Full Moon Fire is a great choice for you! Highly Recommended!
