He’s abusive and controlling and let’s not forget about all the times he cheated on her. He was the one person who helped see her through the most difficult time of her l

I'm going to jump right of the gate here with honesty; I completely bought this book for the cover. After ogling it for a couple of minutes I clicked the BUY button and away I went :)

What I liked :
Fun little story with enough steamy stuff to have you squirming in your seat by page two. Not kidding here folks, you jump right into the action. Not to mention there's actually *gasp* a story going on. It's not a love a first sight deal either. Vivian and Brock have known each other for a while. Well
God save me from wishy-washy heroines.

She wants the sexytimes with her BIL but ohmigod, it's so intense she runs away afterwards. Comes back later full of "I'm sorry's" and goes for round 2 and again, so intense that again she runs away sulking afterwards. Comes back again. Rinse. Repeat. Rinse Repeat. The revolving door should have just jammed and kept her and her TSTL antics away from the hero after the first time she ran away.

Also, I'm not one to quibble about the little things but her sendin

Judging this book by its cover:
Hubba hubba.

I liked the plot of this book. Hero secretly in love with the heroine for years? Yes, please. I like the way Viv and Brock came together, with him being her rock while she was fighting cancer when her jerk of a husband and his half brother couldn't be bothered to be there for her. (view spoiler)

This is one smokin' hot book that brings together two very different people who bonded during a time of crisis and are now trying to make something permanent. In His Forbidden Submissive Brock has been the rock Vivian needed to get through her cancer treatments when her husband didn't have time. From that low point they're now hoping to meet each other on a more level playing field and let their real feelings come through while avoiding the pitfalls of keeping secrets.

I loved reading His Forbidden Submissive by Brandi Evans. This story was more than just about BDSM, it had heart and the hero, Brock, really captured mine from the beginning which had him involved in a "scene" that was hot!!! Even then, he showed his vulnerability when he thought about the woman he loved but walked away from since she was his brother's wife. Vivian has loved Brock since he was by her side during her cancer treatment and has finally decided to divorce her cheating husband so she ...more

I give this book a 3.5 and here is why...

I liked the premise. Girl (Vivian) married to a Di(k (who cares what his name is) but, falls in love with the bad boy brother. Bad boy brother (Brock) is everything and I mean EVERYTHING a girl could want. Tall, Tats and Dominant but with a really lovely personality. I understood the struggle Vivian went through to insure her love for Brock was real and Brock's struggle not to insert self into said di(ks space.

At times, I wanted to shake Vivian and say t

When I read the premise of the story I thought it was going to be so much more but instead we had a dom who couldn't be honest and a sub who ran at every opportunity. And I do mean EVERY opportunity. ZZZzzzzz. The only interesting people in the book were the friend who kept counseling her to return to her dom and her doctor who was in love with a former patients wife.

2.5 stars.

The love affair of Brock and Vivian starts in an unusual way, but quickly becomes very passionate and goes on to some consensual bondage and other play as Brock is a Dom, and Vivian learns she is submissive to him. Both main characters are warm, intelligent and likable, and there is a lot of angst as they gradually admit to things they were hiding that stood in the way of the growing relationship. The book is well written, fast paced, and keeps you interested from beginning to end

Loved the cover but once stared reading a tad disappointed in the lack of consistency and reality. How can an abused woman immediately be assertive and know what she wants as well as flip flop between being both passive aggressive and assertive? That being said I still enjoyed reading the journey for the characters and of course lots of sex with BDSM theme. Try this book if you just want a book about sex and more sex but not much plot and fully developed characters.

What is so well done about this book is that Ms Evans compels me through her words and plot-twists to care a great deal abut the 2 main characters, Brock and Vivian. The characters are both relatable and interesting which kept me enthralled until the very last page. Vivian is very courageous but at the same time makes some foolish decisions. Brock is there for Vivian when she needs someone but at the same time doesn't open up totally about himself to her. This book was beautifully written and I ...more

Call it 3.5 stars, rounding up.

I enjoyed Brock and Vivian's romance very much. The story is well written and the characters developed. Vivian's resistance to BDSM, which she had no exposure to prior to Brock's revelation, is quite realistic. Her panic and running away make complete sense, especially after leaving a controlling husband. There do seem to be a few things missing or perhaps misplaced in the story. Vivian didn't seem to think it strange that her brother-in-law had been with her throu

A day doesn’t go by that Brock doesn’t think about his sister-in-law Vivian. Vivian
wants to be with Brock but since her harrowing experience with Cancer she doesn’t
understand why Brock left her after her remission party. He simply couldn’t stand
to be with her if he couldn’t have her. She finally files for divorce and goes seeking
Brock as a pretense to join efforts for an architechural – design project with a bit
of revenge sex thrown in. There are a few twists and turns in this book. Overall

Ok first off, I flipping have huge cover love for this book! I absolutely LOVE the cover on this. Those tats, they get my motor running..vroom vroom! His Forbidden Submissive walks the line between cravings and morals with quite good finesse. Vivian has just decided to walk away from her rat of a husband after years of infidelity and complete disregard for her during her most fragile time of need. With her Cancer in remission Vivian only has one thing on her mind, exploring the feelings for the ...more
There were things about this book that I loved, and other things that made me a little uncomfortable.

Her marriage. I think she should have waited until the divorce was finalized before she was seeking Brock out. That just didn't set well with me, that she had him served with divorce papers the same day she was sleeping with Brock. Actually she was probably sleeping with him when he got the papers since he was trying to call her immediately afterward. I realize her husband was a douche but what

Step two, tell her brother in law, Brock, just how she feels about him. He devoted his time to sitting with her as she fought for her life when her husband was too busy with his latest fling. Brandi Evans gives us some plot with this book, and it’s a believable, enjoyable tale. But what we really care about, let’s face it, are those sexy times. She writes some HOTNESS. Brock knows how to please a woman. Oh, my, does he EVER. In fact, he says that one of the reasons why he enjoys being Dominant is the power it gives him to dictate Viv’s sexual response.

Um … yeah. He needs to teach

His forbidden submissive isn't so forbidden after all since Viv gets a divorces Eugene on the very first page. The ink isn't even dry when she goes to Brock to offer him a business partnership and make a personal offer too.Brock is into BDSM and Viv isn't.She doesn't want a man who orders her just like her husband did.If they want to their relationship to work and last they have to confess some secrets they have and Viv must not let her fear rule her and allow Brock to dominate her.

This is a great book! First of all I love erotica and second I like a "story" with my kink, not just sex...
Vivian has a lot of issues to overcome for them to find their HEA, I was so glad she was able to separate herself from her husbands abuse and Brock's lifestyle...two totally different things. I think that is what a lot of people don't understand about the lifestyle, that it is not's safe, sane, consensual and this book went a long way toward explaining the difference.

This was definitely one of my favorite books so far. I just love the way the relationship between Brock and Vivian developed. I love how Brock slowly tries to find little ways of introducing her to his world before he tells her. I can also relate to Vivians fears and anxieties when it comes to trusting and how shes afraid of allowing Brock to take control due to her ex. I also loved how the author put a more realistic feel to her entry into Brocks world rather than having it be all perfect and d ...more

I have to admit that Brock was definitely my Dom, My Master, the way he worship regardless of how sexually aroused he was, he truly knows the concept of BDSM. Hey, I am curious of the lifestyle and reading this book has open a little more my horizon. I only did gave him 3 stars, because I wanted more of the story, between Brock, Vivian and Eugene. What Happened? Even though, she did submit to him, unconditionally, but it does makes you wonder what else? But a Very pleasant book.

3.5 stars for His Forbidden Submissive by Brandi Evans. The characters we're easy to like and the sex was off the charts. A love that was forbidden for both characters is finally unleashed and boy oh boy did those two make up for time wasted!!!!!!

I liked His Forbidden Submissive. The author does a Greta job connection the characters, Brock and Viv to each other.
Although I liked the book it was a bit uneventful and the story line was expected. It was BDSM 101.

Brandi Evans was raised by a caravan of traveling Gypsies. She spent her days learning the ways of her people and her nights lost in legends as old as time. Okay, not really, but that's way more interesting than the truth!

In reality, Brandi grew up the oldest child of an ordinary family. Grade school, middle school, high school. Nothing extraordinary happened until she left the nest. She joined th
