The book begins with Jenny deciding to pack her own lunches for school. She is a creative and risky chef who makes strange, but delicious, concoctions. When her friends become jealous of her lunches, they pay her to make some for them. Eventually, Jenny realizes that her entrepreneurial experience wasn’t as easy as she had anticipated. Students can be introduced to income, expenses, and profit with this book. It also teaches that even if you do not succeed, there is always hope for the future, ...more
This book would be great to use for third or fourth graders. It is an easy read, but it is a series that they may find out they like and read the rest of them. It is interesting, and is something that students might be able to relate to as well.
