Alana ~ The Book Pimp
I received a free eBook from Astraea Press in exchange for an unbiased, honest review. My thoughts are my own.

I had issues with this one. I was SO excited to read a story with Geocaching in it (for those of you unfamiliar with it, basically it's a almost like a GPS game/hunt where you use multi-million dollar satellites to find Tupperware in the woods - often filled with McDonald's toys.) Sounds like fun, right? It is... and I was eager to have a story include it. Started out really promising, a

I really wanted to like this book. I liked the idea of a geocache adventure. I wish there had been a bit more but it was worked into the story well. Liesel and Andy are an interesting mix of insta-lust, insta-hate, when they are assigned as partners in a charity contest.

It was a decent story and I didn't feel like I wasted my time, but mostly cause it was a quick read. Unfortunately, I never really grew to like Liesel, she is chilly from moment one and while she has a deep dark secret/reason I

When Liesel Wolf and Andy Bryce are paired together for a charity geocaching hunt, neither one is happy. Because of an incident with an abusive policeman, Liesel mistrusts law enforcement, and U.S. Marshall Andy is the last person she wants for her partner. Andy, on the other hand, takes one look at Liesel and thinks “goddess.” But why does she hate him without even knowing him? Has she heard about the incident?

Motivated by the desire to capture the million dollar prize for a charity close to he

What could possibly go wrong when participating in a charity geocaching game? Lots, if you are Liesel Wolf, and ex mob man's wife who is not too keen that she divorced him and left. It gets even worse for her when she is partnered up with Andy Bryce, a US Marshal who has dark secrets of his own from the past. Andy is doing this as a favor to his brother Tony, who is the mayor of the small town and is only put off more when his partner is Liesel Wolf, who couldn't seem

Never Trust a Pretty Wolf by Elaine Cantrell deserves a solid five-plus stars. In fact, this is one I might actually read again, which for me is the sign of a really good book. It all starts out as a game as Liesel Wolf and Andy Bryce are paired up for a charity ‘geocache’ game sponsored by a local millionaire. However, the game goes sour when real danger comes their way. As it turns out, both Andy and Liesel have some nasty secrets from the past. Andy is a US Marshal on leave after an ‘incident ...more

Never Trust a Pretty Wolf was given to us in exchange for an honest review. I was so anxious for this one. The Geocaching was an awesome approach for this one. I was captivated by the game, and the plot was one that has proven to engross me many times before. This woman has an innocently tainted past, and the US Marshall, was a great addition to the story as she runs from her mafia like husband. Although, this was about where my positive emotions seemed to cease with the story. Beyond liking the ...more

Very unique plot that twists and throws the characters into a whirlwind fight for their lives as they go cross country on a Geo-caching adventure to win 1 million for their favorite charity. Liesel Wolf is paired up with U.S. Marshall Andy Bryce, and she’s not happy about it at all. Why? Because she happens to be the ex-wife of notorious mobster William Wolf, a cruel, brutal crime boss who doesn’t like things being taken away from him—especially his ex-wife. With trust a rare commodity between t ...more

I was excited that part of the story line included geocaching. I have participated in small ones. It is fun and harder than you think. I was surprised at the turn of events during the geocaching. Liesel is not a very likable person most of the book. I appreciated Andy’s restraint at her bad attitude and rudeness

I really liked this story. There was a lot of action and I thought the idea for this story was really interesting. I'd never heard of geocaching before, so it was pretty cool to get to read a little bit about it. Read the rest of this review here:
"US Marshall Andy Bryce reluctantly agreed to fill in for his brother in a geocaching race, however, when he meets his partner he wishes he could bow out instead."

A really quick read. Great plot and good pace...I was thrown a bit by the last part of the book as it seemed to me the main character did a 180 and was like a different person. I enjoyed it nonetheless.
