In this second book of the Etherlin Series, the story is focused on Cerise a muse who has lost her powers and her man and Lysander, a fallen angel. With very little effort, the author has managed to describe the world and provide background into the characters that allowed me to catch up to the storyline. The writing is clear and smooth, and while there are points in the plot where the pacing lags, the inclusion of background information did keep my interest.

"All That Falls" continues the Etherlin series by following a different main character - the muse Cerise. It's an easy and natural transition as Alissa and Merrick still figure heavily in the storyline. What I do appreciate about this series is that the main male and female characters are given equal time, so readers can see both where they came from, and how they change and grow. At first, I wasn't as enamored of Cerise as I had been of Alissa in "All That Bleeds." It felt like Lysander's attra...more

(4.5 stars) Even though I had high hopes coming into All That Falls, I didn't expect to love it as much as the first book, All that Bleeds, because I so loved that forbidden romance at a distance between, muse Allisa and her dangerous half vampire hero, Merrick.
All That Falls is different from its predecessor, but it is every bit as good and maybe even better. I thought that the 'muse' part of Frost's Etherlin world in the last book was a bit odd - the muses seemed like supernatural cheerleaders...more

All That Falls is the second book in the Etherlin series, the first being All That Bleeds where readers were introduced to Etherlin’s most famous muse, Alissa and her forbidden vampire lover, Merrick. All that Falls focuses on the romance between Alissa’s muse friend, Cerise and Merrick’s fallen angel friend, Lysander.
Cerise is struggling to cope with the loss of her musician boyfriend, she has no memory of the night of his death and she’s been unable to use her muse powers since he die...more

This is better than the first book...and I loved the first book! I did not like Cerise in the first book and I started this one feeling I wouldn't like the heroine but right from the beginning she surprised me. A strong woman who is obviously a match made in heaven for a redemption seeking fallen archangel. The characters from the first book seamlessly carry over to this one and, not surprisingly, Merrick remains his exceptional self. Many times, Cerise thinks how "cool" Merrick is and he certai...more

How can you possibly go wrong with pairing up the rock and roll muse and a sexy as sin fallen archangel!?!?! You can't! I had mixed feelings about Cerise in the first book but I knew I had to see more of Lysander. Bad boy in leathers, plus he has wings and can play the violin.
Cerise definitely grew stronger in my eyes in this book. She took control of her life, tried to figure out what had happened to her and how her lover had died, and didn't let the pr...more

This book seemed to expand on the world of Etherlin more and I am glad of it. I really like this world of muses and how these girls hang out with people to inspire them. There is some fall out from the previous book, but it is nothing compared to what I expect after the events of this book.
Lysander is an interesting man, one who keeps his secrets pretty close to the vest. He is so prickly and doesn't seem to want to be around people. He fought his attraction to Cerise, but it seemed like once he...more

I was really expecting this series to get better and better, but this just didn't compare to the first book. The relationship between Lysander and Cerise isn't that intense, and sometimes you feel like Cerise isn't that interested in Lysander. Plus the book seemed too short and it kind of just ended abruptly. All in all, it was just ok. Hopefully the next book will get better, because the story premise is really interesting.
I easily connected with Cherise the grieving rock-n-roll dancer muse. It took longer to appreciate her hunky fallen angel romantic interest Lysander. His offensive anti-social female phobic ways are actually key to the plot. This book is action packed with lots of plot twists to prevent you putting this romantic story down until the last page.

Better than the first one, IMO. The ending was a bit rushed and unbelievable - good triumphing over evil too easily - but overall, an enjoyable read.
I thought this was excellent! I'd love to check out the first book, too. See my review of All That Falls on Romance Reviews Today in July 2012!

Saddens me that the series has come to a close.
Lysander and Cerise weren't a pair I'd have picked, but they go together so well.
