This book was loaned to me by a friend through Amazon. I have to call a DNF on this book. This book is nothing more than a piss poor attempt to copy, almost exactly, the Significance series by Shelly Crane. There are so many elements that are copied from the Significance series that honestly, Shelly Crane should sue this author for plagiarism. The MC had plain brown hair and eyes, wears tank tops and cardigans, the boy rides a motorcycle, as soon as they kiss they have visions of their future,th ...more
'"I know nothing about being a shifter. I only just found this out a couple of weeks ago. I'm no leader," I said.

"It's in your blood," he said.

"Really? Because I've had my blood tested and ALPHA never came back in the toxicology."'

I'm going to admit that for the good majority of the first half of the book I was all like:

'Cause let's just face it - some female characters tend to overdo the whole I'm Not Pretty mantra. One minute she's all 'I'm plain and ugly no one could ever possibly think I'm b
I've read many books and this is my FAVOURITE ! I cant say enough good things about this book, i would recommend it to ANYONE !!!
I thought 'THE DARK DIVINE' series was good
[The Dark Divine #1 - The Lost Saint #2 - The Savage Grace #3]
and i used to say they were my favourite books, but no more, OUTSIDER has out done them !!!!

It starts off as Sophie being a regular gal, going to stay with her grandmother, but that soon changes. She works in her grandmothers cupcake store and meets Caedon **SWOON**
This book could have been good, but it just wasn't. I forced myself to finish, because I found the writing lazy that was a feat. It was like reading someone's rough draft. I love the whole soul mate concept, however this one felt stolen. It was almost word for word similar to Significance by Shelly Crane, without what made Significance good. The best part of finishing this book is I now can read Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Claire, which I have been looking forward to for almost a year.
I only ever write reviews for books I really love or really hate. Unfortunately, in this instance, this is a book I really hate.
I literally sat in bed thinking "what the actual heck?!" Could this possibly be the worst book known to man, containing the most inconsistencies and shallow characters?
I mean, come on. Sure, this book had so much potential, but in the end the characters had no depth or background or dimension. Even the protagonist, Sophie, remained a mystery to me at the conclusion of
This book was gifted to me by the author for an honest review. Thank You!

Sophie is moving in with her grandmother in Virginia. The first night there she hears wolves calling outside her window. The last four books I have read have had a hot guy on a motorcycle protecting the girl and the last three the hot guy on the motorcycle has been the protagonist's soul mate. These girls are making me seriously jealous! I want a hot guy on a motorcycle who is my soul mate. I guess it saves time. You meet t
“This novel shifts from wolves to humanity and back again with a cast of characters who are truly remarkable; all entwined in a love story which will have you swooning and shifting in your seats.” - EponaReviews

A self-published novel miraculously completed over 4 weeks by 18 year old, Micalea Smeltzer.

The first in a trilogy of shifters, love and power.

All little girls dream of being a princess. They dream of a prince. A fairytale of their own. They’ve all watched Snow White, Cinderella and Beau
I'm actually a bit disappointed. I'm only a few chapters in but already feel that there's a lot wrong in this book while at the same time it has heaps of potential. Aside from some really bad wording like "he pulled off the helmet and I immediately knew who was there" which left me saying to myself "ahh yeah coz you saw his face" and the long rather informative yet unnecessary description of her road trip to grams house, I kept reading because I really wanted to like this book. But skipping Soph ...more
Can i Just say i love the cover?? Its awesome Blossom. Totally love the book as well. Out of all the books i read from Micalea Smeltzer this one stole my heart. OK so Sophie is a shifter like the rest of the gang. The only difference is that she didn't grow up knowing this important detail, and it was for her safety that she didn't find out. Her parents move around A LOT so she spends summers with her Grandmother where she meets Caeden. The packs Alpha. He's sexy and confident. No wonder shes so ...more

I came into reading this book with an open mind. I wasn't sure what I was getting but it looked interesting enough to try. I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised.

I was immediately sucked into the story and couldn't peel myself away from it. The blooming romance between Caden and Sophie was so sweet and I couldn't help but feel for them. She chose to keep many of the other characters in the background, but it worked. The villain in this story was well written and truly creepy.

I was pulled in from the beginning. The building of the relationship between Caeden and Sophie was really well written. The innocence was there while this passion stirred in the background. Caeden waited patiently while Sophie figured out her new life.
Micalea did an amazing job developing her characters as the story developed. It was refreshing to see that not every pack member got along perfectly and those relationships developed as each person went through different trials.

I hate to be a Negative Nelly, but someone seriously needs to proofread this and then chuck the whole thing in the trash.

This is not a book with teenager characters; it's a book (although I hesitate to call it a book ) with some middle-aged person's vision of teenagers look/sound/act like. As such, everything feels horribly cliched, stereotypical over-exaggerated and hyperbolic.

The narrative voice does this book no favors. The MC (I can't even remember her name now- and it's literally been
This is one of the very few books in my did not finish pile.
I have nothing good to say I'm afraid.
I've never read a book so flat before.
Sophie finds out she's a wolf and has a destined mate- barely any reaction.
Sophie gets kidnapped and tortured- barely any reaction from anyone.
There is barely any building or progression of the relationship between Sophie and Caeden before they announce they love each other.
When they rescue Sophie, the rescue is done by the youngest pack members, we're told th
OMG...Another ball hit out of the park by Micalea. Looking forward to the next book in this series...can't wait to see what challenges await the mated and bonded couple...what will happen with the new Alpha of the rival pack...will mates return and are they already present in the longing relationships we see on the horizon in this first installment! Sigh...waiting patiently on the next book.

I was really looking forward to this book, but sadly I was disappointed. It was no way as good as I thought it would be. A total let down. I only got a couple of chapters in and I had to put it down, which is very rare for me. It's not something I like to do, give up on a book, but sadly i did for this one.

This is just my opinion. It could be different for you, so make up your own opinion.
Idea? - Ok
Style? - yyy....

1 page: "Oh no! I'm a werewolf!"
2 page: "I finally must accept that I'm werewolf! I'm so happy!"
3 page: "I can't be someones mate! We don't know each other!"
4 page: "i finally must admit that I can't life without him! I'm his mate! Oh I love you!"

And on and on...

I was like "whaaat?"

Even don't know what to say...

Despite the fact that this is a book about werewolfs, the entire book was too "fake" and not "real".
I can't explain it...

I fell in love with this book the moment I read the prologue. I knew that I was going to fall in love with the chemistry between Sophie and Caedan. The love between them is every love that someone wishes for, soul mate or not. I love the way that Micalea is able to bring that out through the characters of Sophie and Caedan.

4.5 stars!

This is my fifth book from this author and I read near enough all her other book before this one because it's a werewolf series and I haven't really had the best experience with werewolf books lol! This book was totally awesome thought and I loved it! The plot was amazing! It sorta went down the same direction as a lot of other werewolf books, but this author's writing is amazing and I really enjoyed this book, even though it was similar to other werewolf books! The plot had plenty of

I loved this book. I loved the way that the characters came to life in the story. You have such amazing detail and it helps bring the story to life for me. I loved the way that Caeden and Sophie click and the way that their love comes together. I read this book in one day because I was hooked!
OMG! I loved this book!! The first shifter novel I read was FERAL SINS by Suzanne Wright. This was my second shifter novel. I was not disappointed. Other than a few mispellings, it was amazing! Both shifter novels compared in many different ways and I was fasinated! I loved, loved, loved this book!
this book was amazing! caeden stole my heart and won't give it back. its the ultimate book for the werewolf/shifter hot guy fans, and also a good paranormal romance book for the romance fans that like some paranormal mixed in, overall its a well written book that holds you
