There was once a small island called, Lummerland , where only four people lived on it.
There was one king, named König Alfons der Viertel-vor-Zwölfte, who reigned the island with two servants at his disposal.
There was Herr Ärmel who just walked day in and night, and Frau Waas who was responsible for the cooking.
But then there was one man left, and his name was, Lukas, he was an Engine-driver and had a railway locomotive named, Emma.

But one day there came a myterious package from afar that had
A children's classic and they've been working on turning this into a live-action feature for years - hope it happens and hope that, when it does, it'll be a brilliantly colorful, inventive and all around adventurous as Ende's novel.

This is the second part of our nice little Story of JIm. This time he tracks down a group of pirates and Jim gets married to Li Si the chinese princess. While they do that they meet a gonat and a dragon, with a nother nice and funny adventure.

I love Endes style, and his books for young children are delightful for the most part. Maybe Ive been looking forward to reading this book for so long, that I ended up getting disappointed when I actually did read it.

It has some really good ideas, but the age shows through in some things, especially the boring repetition of gender roles. I can put up with some, but the way the Chinese princess is portrayed "as a girl, and so easy to scare and impress", also the "she was always such a nice girl,
The best! Good ol' literature!

Michael Andreas Helmuth Ende was a German writer of fantasy and children's literature. He was the son of the surrealist painter Edgar Ende. He died in Stuttgart (Germany) of stomach cancer.

Ende was one of the most popular and famous German authors of the 20th century, mostly due to the enormous success of his children's books. However, Ende was not strictly a children’s author, as he also wrote bo
