Alyssa Montgomery was damned the moment she met Evan Beauman. To Alyssa, Evan Beauman (Beau) was a welcome escape from a failed college experience. He was everything she was attracted to: the dangerous type with a sense of adventure and a killer smile. It seemed that he wanted her just as badly. In reality, Beau was a soul collector owing a bounty of souls to the devil him...more

I would like to thank Jessica Gilliland for giving me this book in exchange for an honest review. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I am going to try to give a review without giving anything away, but it may be hard. Alyssa isn't looking for love, but when she meets Beau she can't help being drawn to him. Soon she is on a trip to Paris with him and skipping out on college. But Beau is not all he seems, and he has his own devious plan in the works. He is a soul collector and he wants Alyssa with h...more

I thoroughly enjoyed this book - the concept was very different fom anything I have previously read, but it was well written and the characters were well developed. Alyssa is a college student, pretty much flunking her way through when she meets Evan Beauman, or Beau as she calls him. He's everything she's not - sexy, charming with a daring sense of adventure. She dashes off to Paris with him, where he reveals his true self. This was the part that annoyed me the most in the book - why would anyo...more

By chapter 3 I was hooked! I read it in one day because I couldn't put it down! The book is very well written by Jessica Marie (I just read 50 Shades of Grey and was annoyed how limited the author's vocabulary seemed to be except when she threw in a "big" word from time to time). I would reccomended this book in a heartbeat. Enjoy this book! I can't wait to read more from Jessica Marie!

I loved loved this book. I can not wait for another one. The characters were so in depth - I loved them and hated them then loved them again. Once I started I couldn't put it down! There was just the right amount of romance and action that made me want more :) I seriously recommend this book to all.

Be Careful about what you'd give anything for and who you say it too.

Anything for?

Anything for...

What a tense read, this was! I'm still reeling from the emotions that this book invoked. Alyssa, Alyssa, Alyssa... man. At the beginning you're rooting for her, toward the middle you're pissed off at her because she'd become complacent with her horrible circumstances, and then toward the end you're so worried about her regardless. Beau was the perfect character to play along side or opposite her when...more

OH MY GOSH.

I am in love with this book. I honestly can not explain how much I enjoyed this book, it was so refreshing to finally find a book I literally couldn't put down. A Collection of Souls is one of the best books I've read in awhile, ignoring the grammatical errors I found every once in awhile it is well worth either using your once a month prime free rental on amazon or paying the .99 cents. I think it's worth a bit more than that if the spelling errors and punctuation errors here and the...more

This book was a solid 4 stars for me. I really enjoy Jessica Gilliland's realistic character voice. This allows you to truly connect with the character, whether or not you like them. Her dialogue, both inner and conversational, are both very down to earth. This lends a nice flow to the novel as it progresses.
Another part of the novel as I whole that I enjoyed was Gilliland's classy way of introducing the intimacy of the characters. She concentrates on the emotions of the situation instead of the...more

First off I'd like to thank the author: Jessica Gilliland for giving me her brilliant story for free.
Now I'm going to write a very happy, honest review on how much I enjoyed this book!

When I first looked up A Collection of Souls, it instantly called to me. This book cleverly delivered a new concept and succeeded in captivating me. I enjoy fast moving books but not incredibly fast moving books that move rift over the main point. This book did not do that.
At the beginning of...more

As I write this, this book only has 18 ratings - something is very wrong here, this book is phenomenal.

So Alyssa meets Beau, falls for him, turns out, he's a soul collector for Satan and thus, we have a story. I liked the concept, it seemed very different from the norm - and oh, it was!! I regret buying this only to buy and read two books ahead of it, it deserved priority, it really is that good.

Alyssa is one heck of a female lead. She's strong, she's feisty, and awesome. Beau is, well, he's bey...more

I was completely swept away by the concept of soul collectors because it played into Faustian deal making. What would you give for your soul? Is a very intriguing question that many have tried to answer over the centuries yet know one answer appears to be right or wrong. How does one get into the position for trading one's soul? Like I said earlier Faustian deal is what comes to my mind when thinking about this. Does this make a person bad for trading their soul? Again this is up to your own per...more

Loved the twists and turns in this book. The chemistry between the two main characters was great and I enjoyed the snappy dialogue

Jessica Marie Gilliland was born and raised in the East Bay. She is currently living in Hayward, California with her fiance, Rob.

She loves all things sci fi and paranormal. She can't get enough forbidden romances and is a sucker for a good post apocalyptic tale... well, it doesn't even have to be a good one. Any one will do if it's got zombies in it ;)

Jessica loves to write and go on adventures w...more
