First, I would never recommend Narrative Dynamics to anyone who has not read Hays (Faith of Jesus Christ) and Wright (both Climax of the Covenant and NTPG. JVG didn't get as much attention, even though it uses narrative substructure throughout). Louis Martyn is also mentioned a lot. Witherington's Paul's Narrative Thought World gets some attention but usually unfavorably.

Narrative Dynamics takes 5 sequences of narrative, as proposed by Dunn's Theology of the Apostle Paul, and traces each stage

This book doesn't solve anything, and I think Watson's essay at the end (combined with Lou Marryn's apocalyptic approach) obviate everything that comes before... Still, it's a good introduction to narrative methodology. I would have liked to have seen more attention to the methodological substructure.
