Recommends it for: starving artists
I proofread this book for the authors, so if you find any typos, it is my fault :) Dori tells the story of her relationship with her husband and their rags to riches start in the art world in diary format. One detail I liked was when Dori said that their skin had turned orange from eating so many carrots when they were broke. Some entries were laugh-out-loud funny. Their RV is small and breaks down frequently, but somehow Joe keeps it going. The couple has since divorced, but it is still a movin ...more

What can I say? I fell in Love with Dori's art then I fell in Love with her story. I have to laugh that I met her (now ex) husband last year at the same art festival in Cherry Creek where I first met Dori some years before. I recognized his style as very similar (loved it) but when I asked him if he was related to Dori he vehemently denied even knowing her.
