This is the best grammar textbook I have ever used. The method Mounce uses in teaching Greek maximizes on learning the principles of grammar in Koine Greek so that one doesn't have to learn lots of paradigms. I liked that very much. Also, the vocabulary learned is kept to an absolute minimum, which at an early stage is probably beneficial.

Really great for Beginners in Greek! Also Get the Workbook! The book comes with a CD of Lectures, Vital! and has interactive software for Memorizing and working with Parsing the different endings. Basic enough to work through alone, but also provides a great foundation for Biblical Greek and a general understanding for anyone who just wants to get an overview of the Greek Language.

Excellent! I can't imagine being able to learn Greek with a different textbook. Mounce does a terrific job of breaking down into understandable parts the more difficult linguistic and grammatical issues in learning a new language. I recommend this textbook as well as the accompanying workbook.

recommends it for: Anyone who want to learn NT Greek
In addition to the fact that Bill Mounce is an amazing man, he does a phenominal job making NT Greek learnable in this book. This is not the first book I used to learn greek, but I used it to teach Greek to 2 high school girls and it is definately a great text.

So, instead of finishing Harlot's Ghost, I decided to make my life even more easier and take NT Greek. How fun!
