Recommends it for: parents reading with their children
This is a wonderful tale that depicts a mother panda caring for her baby, showing how pandas are raised. Embedded in the story is a cautionary tale of mankind's encroachment into their habitat, which is at least part of the reason why the panda is considered an endangered species. The illustrations are amazing - the detail is wonderful and the pandas looks so soft and fuzzy, you wish you could just hug them. Pi-shu is adorable, especially as a little panda baby...we all made "awwww...he's so cuu ...more
Beautifully illustrated and very sweet. Pi-shu lives an idyllic life with his mother, but humans are encroaching on their habitat.
My children really enjoyed this book, beautifully written and illustrations are simply delightful
