There were stories about St. Andrew's, and everyone knew them - stories that said the abandoned churchyard was haunted by some fearsome thing. Ok, it's a picture book. Sue me.
But it's a great creepy little folktale written by an expert in the world of storytelling. This is a must read (or TELL) at a bonfire with some smores.

Lucy is a seamstress who needs some money, and she can get a bunch if she will sew in the graveyard. At night. And we all know that's never a good scenario!

If you are reading, enjoy the awesome illustrations with a child.

This was nicely presented. It has just the right amount of tension building to the climactic race to the gates.
