Natural Garden by Ken Druse (Clarkson Potter 1988) (712.6). This book was originally one of my earliest Goodreads reviews. My review read “Very pretty but very shallow information-wise.” Seeing as this book features over 400 photos, I'll let my original opinion stand. My rating: 7/10, finished 2009.

I have several Ken Druse books. I have listened to lectures he has given and refer to his books often when designing a garden. His pictures make you feel like you are waundering through his garden. I recommend this book to all garden lovers.

Shelves: gardening
Beautiful pictures, sound advice, aimed mostly at the US climates, but with a little research on hardiness, and local plants the principles can applied here in Canada or take the plant lists with a pinch of salt.

Recommends it for: all the gardeners I know
This book puts my take on gardening into words. Use native/hardy plants to interpret any style into a nearly carefree garden.
