Hard Rain is a nail-biter of a suspense novel, part mystery and part espionage thriller, and Peter Abrahams is a writer with credentials as long as your arm, including being Stephen King’s favorite American suspense novelist. This was a book that had been sitting unread on my shelf for a very long time. It was a good mystery/thriller with interesting characters. A relatively quick read with a good plot and enough twists to keep you wondering until the end. It was a bit confusing at the start as you are just thrown into the story without much set up. Overall, I would recommend it.

This book was exactly what I needed at the moment - a quick, easy read. I enjoyed the suspense, even though I pretty much figured out the ending by the time I was about half way done. Recommend to anyone who likes mystyer/suspense novels.

About half way through the book, I figured out the mystery, but I didn't have any idea how it was all going to play out. Very good book, I definitely want to read more by this author.
