Jessie's ex-husband is late returning their daughter at the end of the weekend. First she is annoyed and then terrified when they don't show up. This book was exactly what I needed at the moment - a quick, easy read. I enjoyed the suspense, even though I pretty much figured out the ending by the time I was about half way done. Recommend to anyone who likes mystyer/suspense novels.
About half way through the book, I figured out the mystery, but I didn't have any idea how it was all going to play out. Very good book, I definitely want to read more by this author.

Thriller about a Vietnam war vet who steals a man and a little girl and the wife has to hunt them down and find them.
This is the first book I read by Peter Abrahams and it is still my favorite.
I just can't get into this book.
