I like to jokingly refer to this book as "CSI: The Romanovs," as it's more concerned with forensic science and puzzling out the mystery of the skeletons found outside Ekaterinburg than it is history, although some historical analysis is covered in the first and last sections of the book. (Including some repeats of material already found in Nicholas and Alexandra, now updated and corrected.)

The story of the murder of the Romanovs and their discovery of their grave years later, not near as interesting as Nikolas and Alexandra.

After reading Nicholas and Alexandra, I have to read this book as well!! If I hadn't read Nicholas and Alexandra this book would be confusing. I love the prequel but didn't feel so strongly about this book. It did update some of the information from Nicholas and Alexandra's ending and events that happened since Nicholas and Alexandras was printed.

Found this in the library in WY - didn't know there was something of a sequel. This one more directly addresses the murder of the Tsar and his family and the mystery of what exactly happened to them afterwards. Another good read - if you like that sort of thing. I do... :o)

I love learning about the last Czar and his family, and have read a few books on the subject. This book is about the actual investigations into the remains of the family and trying to find out the real facts behind their deaths. It's quite interesting.

Very interesting history. I can't get a hold of his first book, Nicholas and Alexandra, so I settled for this. Not an "I can't put it down" book by any means, but still enjoyable.

Brings the mystery of the Romanovs into today, using science and technological research to show, that Anastasia, along with the rest of her family, is indeed, deceased.

This book contains great information on the actual murder and how the remains were destroyed and how they deternmined who the remains were.

The prose of this book is very dense. That said, if you can chew your way through, the information is absolutely fascinating!

Ok, so I haven't _finished_ it per se, but I've read about 2/3rds of it and now I'm tired of the Romanovs. :)
