This book is simply a small collection of stock photographs of the Appalachian Trail and nothing special. In fact, the hikers in the photos are not thru-hikers, which serves to further highlight the thoughtlessness that went into this project. The book could easily be made into a calender sold to tourists in Gatlinburg, Tennessee or some other spot along the trail. But despite the book's failings, as I found myself reading/looking through it on a cold, wet Indiana day, I so wished I could be out...more
