Afslutningen på Leas eventyr i Indokina, er ikke helt så god som Silkevejen, der er en del fyldstof som til tider gør bogen en smule halvkedelig, men stadig en udemærket del af Lea-serien om begyndelsen til Frankrigs fald som kolonimagt.
